Love is war. It’s a simple equation, really. And it’s something that we all know about. We see it in the way that people fight, in the way that they use violence to get what they want. We see it in the way that wars are fought, and in the way that they’re caused. But what we don’t often see is love at its core. Love isn’t just about getting what you want; love is about giving back. It’s about helping others, even if it means sacrificing yourself. It’s about being there for someone when they’re down, and being there for them when they’re feeling strong. It’s about being there for them when they’re feeling scared or alone. And that’s why love is war: because it’s all about giving back, and taking care of those who matter to you.

What is Appearance Of Yu Ishigami ?

Yu Ishigami is slim, but good-looking teenager boy, is quite gloomy. His black hair is a chin-length and covers his left side. He usually wears a dull expression, which is amplified by the black eyes.

Ishigami used to call himself a jock in the past. His athletic build and short hair resembled Tsubasa. He lost his muscle after years of inactivity.

What is Personality Of Yu Ishigami ?

Yu Ishigami is a quiet and somewhat depressed student. He would not show up at student council meetings. Instead, he prefers to work from home. Because of an incident in his past, he spends his time alone playing video games.

Ishigami is a very cynical, depressing person with a negative outlook on life. He often rants about youth and other students he calls “normies”. He seems to be jealous of those guys who have a girlfriend and are happy. Ishigami can sometimes be awkward and make statements that others find creepy. He is a bit snarky, and often makes sarcastic comments about the situations he finds himself in.

Ishigami, despite his negative attitude, is a kind, well-meaning student. He suffers from an inferiority comp and is willing to help others even if it means losing his pride. He even advised Kaguya Chinomiya not to associate with him because it could lower her reputation.

Ishigami loves to play video games and read manga. He is also well-versed in otaku culture. This includes mangaka and anime production, as well manga tropes. He hides his love for anime, but he fears being called an “otaku”. Miyuki is the only person who has ever spoken to him about it. He listens to anime music.

What is Story Of Yu Ishigami ?

Ishigami, the second son of the president a small toy business, was able to get into Shuchi’in through the hard work of his father. He is also the only one to have a high school diploma. He is not academically motivated and only puts his efforts into those things that are of interest to him. He is a skilled observer. He is able to see the things other people are most anxious about. Landmines are something he doesn’t want to touch. These insecurities, which are hidden by others, are as obvious as the clothes they wear.

He avoids the obvious taboos that any ordinary person would be hesitant to touch. However, he does make observations that aren’t always obvious as landmines. These landmines are often set off and disturbed by him because he can’t tell that they are untouchable. As a matter of habit, he used to skip school. But Miyuki Shirogane saw him as a treasurer and forced him to attend high school.

Ogino was the president of the drama club. He had beat up Ogino for failing to stop his cheating acts on Kyoko Ootomo in middle school. Ogino, in desperate need, framed Ishigami as beating him up for being jealous of Kyoko’s girlfriend. This has caused widespread hatred and flooding hate, as well as a lengthy suspension that didn’t end until he apologized. His self-confidence and self-esteem were destroyed by the hatred and suspension. He couldn’t write an apology letter, and he never did. Miyuki had done extensive research and discovered the truth about his pain. He was the only one who understood and believed that he wasn’t at fault. His data analysis and processing skills were quickly recognized by the student council.

Ishigami, as mentioned in the anime was the fastest track club member.

Ishigami, who is under pressure to take part in school club activities, joins the Cheer Club, which is led by Kazeno, his senior. Tsubame Koyasu is a cheerful third-year student who is kind and caring to all. He considered her to be the most beautiful girl in school alongside Kaguya Shinomiya. Ishigami has a crush upon Tsubame and accidentally confesses to his feelings at the school’s cultural fest. Ishigami doesn’t realize that his actions were interpreted as a confession by the rest student body.

He is therefore unaware of the implications of giving Tsubame a heartshaped gift (considered similar to a confession according to Shuchiin tradition). Kaguya convinces Tsubame to consider Ishigami’s confession. Her original intention was to let him down as gently and as quickly as possible. Ishigami only realizes that his actions have an unintended purpose after he watches Tsubame perform the traditional play that gave birth to the aforementioned traditions. Ishigami was unable to see the full meaning of his actions because of his thickheaded nature. He had to confess.

What are The Relationships Of Yu Ishigami ?

Student Council And Yu IShigami in Love Is War

Miyuki Shirogane

Miyuki is Ishigami’s close friend. Miyuki recruited him after he investigated an incident in which Ishigami was implicated. Miyuki discovering the truth and believing that Ishigami was innocent, apparently “saved”, Ishigami. This strong bond of trust ties them together. After Miyuki had turned Miyuki down, they went together to the aquarium.

Kaguya Shinomiya

Kaguya, Ishigami’s upperclassman, is Kaguya. They begin with an antagonistic relationship. Ishigami believed that Kaguya wanted him to kill him. But eventually, the relationship blossoms into a sibling-like relationship (albeit with occasional fear of her). When he joined the cheer squad and needed a uniform for women, his stance of fear seemed to have changed. Kaguya offered her help. As exam season drew near, Kaguya noticed his crush on Tsubame Koyasu.

She devoted herself to helping him find her by helping him study, so that he would rank well and Tsubame would see him as a better person. Ishigami explained that he was able study so well not because he was afraid of Kaguya, nor because he felt for Tsubame, but because “there is still somebody that would believe” in him thinking of Kaguya. Since then, they have been building a relationship based on Kaguya giving him support, advice and encouragement for his love. Ishigami openly thanked Kaguya.

Kaguya is highly respected by Ishigami. He frequently asks her for her opinions on romantic gestures he has towards Tsubame, many of which Kaguya finds disturbing. Also, he asks for help with volleyball to impress Tsubame. He was shocked to learn that Kaguya was in a relationship with someone.

Miko Iino

Miko is Ishigami’s schoolmate since middle school. Their current relationship is similar to cats and dogs, Ishigami being a frequent rulebreaker and Miko being part of the Discipline Committee. They don’t seem to be able to get along. Ishigami is a believer and Iino is a supporter of each other. Miko was able to overcome her stage fear when Ishigami transformed the Presidential Debate into a debate instead of speeches.

Iino, on the other hand, was actually one of those who protested the punishment he received from his middle school. This eventually led to him enrolling in Shuchi’in Academy. She was also the first to try to cheer him up after he lost the relay race.

Miko appears to have fallen in love with Ishigami following the Bonfire. He gave her a pendant with a heart-shaped design. Ishigami planned to return the pendant, which he found at the archery range as a Lost and Found item. Ishigami was not aware of the consequences of his actions – it was a direct confession.

Their relationship changes dramatically after the Tsubame party accident, in which Miko broke Ishigami’s arm while saving Ishigami. Ishigami spends much of her time apologizing to Miko, helping her with homework and eating her food. Ishigami begins to see Miko’s sweeter side and they begin to get along better after Chika gives her advice to be nice to Miko.

Chapter 188 sees them fighting over Yu’s conversation with Koyasu. Yu was not happy with Miko’s intrusion into Yu’s love life. Despite this, they quickly reconcile after being interjected by the rest of student council.

When Kobachi exposed Yu as the one who gave Miko the Sutera flower, Yu said that he did so out of concern for Miko’s well-being.

Miko presents Ishigami chocolate on Valentine’s Day, insisting it was only out of obligation. Ishigami still appreciates Miko’s sentiments and makes jokes about her defensiveness regarding the gift.

Chapter 230 ends with Ishigami suggesting that Ishigami might have a romantic attraction to Miko. He says, “Just who exactly…is Iino to you?” After chasing her down because he was worried about her, he implied that Ishigami may have some romantic attraction to Miko with the words ‘Just who exactly… is Iino to me?’.

Chapter 238 further suggests that Ishigami has feelings for Miko. He says that even though I thought I would never fall in love again I feel that that feeling is slowly fading away. Miko, the person I thought had hated me for all my life [Ishigami], is now looking at me with kindness and sincerity. That made me happy …”. Ishigami asks Iino to join him in the dance.

Chapter 244 also suggests Ishigami’s growing interest/ awareness and potential romantic attraction towards him as he frustrically ponders where Iino might be and why she hasn’t come to Student Council since Shinomiya’s departure, despite the fact he felt that she was warming up and possibly developing feelings for Him. He becomes increasingly depressed about her and comments that he may have been wrong in his thinking, that she is not liking him anymore, or that she has become more indifferent to him. Then he spirals further into depression and depressed thinking. He wonders if he really knows her, especially considering that he might have a secret boyfriend.

In Chapter 245, his feelings for her are clearly romantic as he walks Miko home from her fear that she is being watched. Ishigami, in an internal dialogue with him, questions what he should do. He feels that even if it was possible to reassure Miko, he would take advantage of her vulnerability to gain “affection points.” Yu seems to reprimand himself after this thought, noting that he views this situation as “the Iino path of a dating sim”. He has subconsciously begun to see her romantically and recognize her feelings for him.

As the chapter progresses, Miko grabs Iino’s clothes while they walk together and thinks that “If I held Iino’s right now, I would also hold hers.” When Yu is about to leave for Iino’s apartment at the end of the chapter and they reach Iino, Iino insists that Yu stay. Ishigami internally remarks that “Iino’s cute” and recognizes that he has felt this way for a long time.

He also acknowledges that their arguments weren’t because he disliked her. Recognising that “in truth, I wouldn’t tell those types of things to someone I don’t really care about”, Ishigami says that Iino is “cute”. Yu says to himself that Yu is “fully aware” of how he feels and then proceeds to rub his head on her head, Iino moving his hands to touch her face. Both blush and go inside to her apartment.

Chapter 246: They hold hands while sitting on the couch, discussing the future of Student Council. Yu blushes profusely as she holds her hand. She looks disappointed when she offers him food. He remarks that “the fact [he] is holding hands with a girls is making [his] heart beat like crazy” and that he felt sad when she gave up her hand to stand. Later, he pats her again and compliments her on her growth while in student council. As he strokes her hair again, he gets flustered and comments that her hair is so silky that he could keep it stoked “forever”.

Chika Fujiwara

Chika Fujiwara, a student council member, is also a co-member. They have a very close relationship. Chika Fujiwara refers to him as creepy and he catches her cheating at games. Chika loves to tease Ishigami whenever she gets the chance, while Chika is often the only one who can calm down Chika’s chaotic tendencies.

It is revealed later that they have a fondness for one another (Chika being sympathetic to Ishigami’s situation, and Ishigami admitting to her genius abilities). They are seen to be friends and care for one another.

What Are Friends Of Yu Ishigami ?

Tsubame Koyasu

Tsubame, Ishigami’s object of affection, is also a member of the Cheer Club at the Sports Festival. Every other student council member notices that Ishigami has a crush on Tsubame after the Sports Festival. Ishigami is fondly impressed by her outgoing personality, willingness to help others and willingness to help.

Ishigami, who won a huge heart cookie during the Culture Festival, gave it to Kaguya as a confession. This was in keeping with the festival’s theme of giving a person your heart. After initially rejecting him, Kaguya began to get to know Ishigami better and asked him for an answer.

Tsubame rejects Ishigami’s confession to him on Christmas. Ishigami is very depressed and almost dies after falling down a flight stairs if he wasn’t stopped by Iino. Ishigami, despite this, continues to work out with Kazeno to achieve his goal of becoming someone Tsubame loves.

After his performance at the intramural volleyball tournament, Ishigami convinced her to accept a date to Tokyo Skytree. According to Ishigami their date went without a hitch. They have already scheduled their next date. Tsubame also sent Ishigami chocolate for Valentine’s Day. He was delighted and accepted it.

Tsubame finally gets an answer to Ishigami’s request on the third year’s graduation ceremony. Tsubame rejects Ishigami despite Ishigami trying to convince him to accept him. Tsubame promises Ishigami they will be friends forever and Ishigami says goodbye with a smile, flowers and a gift. Ishigami bursts into tears after learning the truth of heartbreak.

Maki Shijo

Maki, Ishigami’s upperclassman, became friends with Maki through her frequent visits to the student council area. Her relationship with him mirrors Kaguya’s. He truly sees Maki to be a good person.

Rei Onodera

Rei is Ishigami’s classmate and a member of the Cheer Club at the sports festival. She initially views him as a foe because of the rumors about Kyoko. But, the Sports Festival shows that they have become close friends.

Karen Kino

Karen and Ishigami share a professional relationship where he serves as editor for Karen’s Miyuki/Kaguya doijinshi. Karen doesn’t consider them friends.

Tsubasa Tanuma

Tsubasa is disliked by Ishigami due to his ‘Alpha status’ and the fact that he used disdain for couples in the past. He doesn’t regard him highly, and he wonders often why Maki is so obsessed.

Kazeno

Kazeno, who was captain Cheer Club was shown to be openly accepting of Kyoko despite rumors about his relationship with Kyoko. After the Sports Festival, they remain close friends and Kazeno gives advice to Tsubame on how to win his heart. Kazeno informs Ishigami on the day of the graduation ceremony for the third year that he regrets not being able to help him more. Kazeno is moved to tears when Ishigami says that this was false and that he truly appreciates his help. They promise to keep in touch in the future.

Ai Hayasaka

Yu Ishigami first met Hayasaka through Maki, Shirogane, when they hung out at a batting box after school. They quickly became close friends because of their mutual interest in technology. Hayasaka offers advice about how to avoid being distracted by electronics.

Kaguya Sama’s Unsung Hero is the Quiet and Brooding Ishigami Yu

Kaguya Sama’s , who is distant and brooding, is often called rude or creepy. However, he’s actually kind and caring.

Yu Ishigami revealed his true nature in the third movement of Season 1 Episode 10, “Shirogane miyuki Wants To Go Somewhere.” Ishigami, uncharacteristically, weighed in on the discussion between student council members about whether they should host a summertime activity. He noted that most students will soon be in their third year of highschool and are therefore likely to be focusing on college entrance exams. This summer might be the last chance for them to get together as friends.

It’s a small moment, but it’s the first time Ishigami has ever opened himself up to other Kaguya–sama. He’s also doing it with the student council, an organization he tried to quit earlier in his story. And he considers the entire group to be his friends.

Ishigami is also kinder when it comes Iino Miko. It would seem that the characters don’t get along well at first glance. Iino, who has been a classmate with Ishigami since middle-school, is familiar with the circumstances leading to his suspension. Her perception of him has continued into high school, as she considers him a dissident who is often resentful.

Both Ishigami as well as Iino value justice and honesty. Iino (and Ishigami) share similar values and care for each other, even though neither wants recognition from the others — a subtle dynamic that is in line with the series’ main premise. The Student Council Presidential elections in Season 2 is one example.

In the beginning, presidential elections consisted of speeches by each candidate: Osaragi Kobachi, Shirogane Miko and Iino Miko. At Ishigami’s request, however, the format was changed into a debate-style forum. Ishigami had known Iino since childhood and was familiar with her crippling stage fear. He also shared it with the rest of the student council. The student council agreed to change the format of the election from a seated vote to one that was structured.

Although Ishigami Yu was largely on the margins of Kaguya–sama‘s anime translation, his kindnesses and consideration have put him in the running to be the anime’s Best Boy. Season 3 will premiere in April 2022. This means that the somber outcast will get a chance to shine and have his own happy ending.

Etymology

Yu is a name that means “excellence and superiority, gentleness” (You). Yu’s surname Ishigami is “stone” (Shi) ( -ishi), and “above top, higher” (Shang) ( kami/ gaming).

Ishigami plays Crypto in Apex Legends It is in the Diamond Tier of its Ranked Leagues. ]The squad of Revenant, Crypto, and Wraith that Ishigami created was very popular in Season 5 of Apex Legends. Coincidentally Season 6 of Apex Legends was released at the same time as the chapter and directly nerfed any synergy between Crypto and Revenant. He is not a good shut-in. However, he does have some intelligence. Fujiwara and Ishigami share their birthday. Ishigami made a reference in episode 32 to The Shawshank Redemption
