Fans of Osamake: Romcom Where The Childhood Friend Won’t Lose have been eagerly awaiting the release of season 2 ever since it was announced back in February. However, with no release date in sight, some are beginning to worry. The first season of the show followed the romantic adventures of high school students Hana and Tatsuya. After a year of being apart, they reunite and must navigate their complicated feelings for each other while also trying to keep their friendship alive. While there is no release date yet for season 2, series creator Naoko Yamada has assured fans that it is definitely coming out. In an interview with Anime News Network, she said that she “absolutely” plans on continuing the story and that she’s “really happy” with how things turned out in the first season. So far, there is no word on when exactly we can expect to see season 2 hit our screens, but we’re sure fans will be keeping a close eye on developments. In the meantime, they can check out the first season on Crunchyroll or FunimationNOW. ..

Osamake: Romcom where the Childhood Friend Won’t Lose is also known by Osananajimi Ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy. The Japanese romantic comedy anime TV show is an adaptation by Shuichi Nimaru, Ui Shigure and their light novel series. Doga Kobo animated the first episode. The premiere episode was shown on April 14, 2021. The series was ended after twelve episodes.

Osamake Season 2 Renewal Status

Osamake’s first season failed to impress critics but was well received by viewers. The simple, heartwarming storyline and touching characters were enough to garner positive reviews. The series was also a hugely popular show by the end. It is currently ranked #937 on MyAnimeList in popularity and has more than 185K members. Its score on MyAnimeList, however, is 6.12 which is quite average. The great thing about anime is its popularity, which means that it is likely to be renewed.

The possibility of Osamake Season 2 being renewed is increased by the fact that the production studio has sufficient source material and the LN series is still in operation. Fans don’t need to be worried because Studio Doga Kobo is going to announce Osamake Season 2 soon. Before announcing the second season of Osamake, the makers will likely take time to review everything.

Osamaki Season 2 Release Date

It takes most anime series one and a quarter to two years to return to the screens. This can also be expected for the second season of this romantic drama. Osamaki Season 2 could be released in 2023. This section will be updated as needed.

Osananajimi Ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy Season 2 Release Date Predictions: Renewal possible

Kadokawa and Studio Doga Kobo have not confirmed the Osamake Season 2 release dates as of the last update. A sequel to Osamake has not been announced.

This article will be updated once the news has been confirmed.

It’s possible to speculate as to when or if the Osananajimi Ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy season 2 premiere will take place.

Episode 12 concluded by noting that Sueharu has a fan club, and that the main three girls have already plotted to destroy those intruders. This is a key plot point in the next story. (See the spoilers section below).

Osamake has received lower reviews than the average number of anime fans. Critics seem to dislike the whole premise of the title, where all main characters are childhood friends. This took three episodes or an entire book to create.

It didn’t help that the adaptation was done in a very fast pace. The adaptation of the first book was done so quickly that the original romance revenge plot was abandoned and replaced by story arcs that centered on more common Romcom harem shenanigans.

(It is also possible that the anime sets a record for being able to resolve a decade-long misunderstanding in Romcoms within a matter of minutes.

Kadokawa, on the other hand, announced in May 2021 they would create at least 40 anime projects per annum by 2023. This is a 20 percent increase from 33 titles. Kadokawa will publish many of these new light novels and manga series, but it is possible that there will be more sequels.

Osamake is a beneficiary of the large increase in sales of light novels. The total series was in circulation at around 100,000 copies as of November 2019. It reached 500,000 by October 2020.

Book sales saw a significant increase after the anime’s debut in Spring 2021. According to Oricon, Osamake was in the top 10 Japanese light novels sales by May 2021. Sometimes beating well-knowns such as Higehiro and DanMachi, Re:Zero, or even Sword Art Online : Unital Ring.

Osamake’s light novel series, Osamake, topped the Oricon charts in May 2021 at #6. It sold 28,700 copies. Osamake was #3 in the Oricon charts for May 2021, just behind 86: Eighty Six and Sword Art Online. Osamake’s light novel sales in Japan surpassed Tensura, That Time I Was Reincarnated as A Slime (Tensei Shitara slime Datta Ken) for a few weeks. These numbers are something Kadokawa producers need to pay attention to.

It’s difficult to predict if Osamake 2 will get renewed and overcome the negative reviews from Westerners. However, book sales are a positive sign. The fans will have to wait and watch.

Osamake manga/light-novel series is compared to the anime

Osamake’s anime series is based upon the Osananajimi Ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy light book series by Shuuichi Nimaru, and Ui Shigure. The book series began in June 2019 and was completed as Osamake Volume 8 by Ui Shigure on June 10, 2021.

Creator Nimaru joined forces with Ryou Itou in November 2019 to create the Osamake manga adaption. The manga has been serialized in Monthly Comic Alive and is now up to Volume 3.

Mutsumi Aoki, manga artist, launched a spinoff in Monthly Comic Alive called Daily Lives Where Four-Sister Neighbor Absolutely will Make You Warm. The side stories focus on the Shida Colorful Brothers Kuroha and Midori, Aoi and Akane.

Unfortunately, there is no North American publisher that has announced a translation of the Osamake manga into English or a light novel translation. There are however fan-made translations for the manga and books.

The source material for many anime TV series is compressed to fit the episodic format, much like other anime TV shows based on light novel. The anime suffered from a decrease in dialogue, although there weren’t any dramatic changes or skipped story arcs.

The Osamake manga was more detailed about the motivations of the characters than the light novels. Kuro, for example, was happy to help Haru, despite his rejection, but in truth, she wanted revenge on him and had already planned to dump him once he got what she wanted.

However, anime scenes with Kuro or Haru were more intimate and emotionally charged. It was more authentic than the manga where Kuro seemed to be teasing Haru when she expressed her feelings. Voice actors have the advantage of being able to convey emotion in static images and text.

Light novels fans may also have noticed that some characters appeared in anime episodes earlier than they did in the books. Shion Oragi, the maid of “Mad Dog”, first appeared in Volume 4 light novel. Shion made a brief appearance in Episode 4.

The anime’s pacing was consistent throughout its first season. Each book volume was adapted into three episodes. To ensure the story was correctly adapted, the anime skipped the OP/ED in certain episodes.

The finale of Osananajimi Ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy Episode 12 was the end of the first season.

There is enough material available to make Osamake Season 2 at the moment, which is a good thing.

Unfortunately, Osamake Manga is still adapting light novel Volume 2 and the manga won’t catch up to anime Episode 12 until 2023. Even worse, English-only light novels readers will need to wait until the series has been licensed before they can read ahead.
