Warrior Nun is back for season 2 and fans are eagerly awaiting the release date. The first season of the anime series aired in Japan in October of last year and has since been licensed by Funimation. Warrior nun had been officially renewed for its second series on August 19, 2021. Principal photography for the first season took four months. Shooting lasted from March 11 through July 19, 2021. The series was finally released on Netflix July 2, 2020, almost one year later. David Hayter was the director of the first season. He will also be directing Warrior nun season 2. Based on the comic Warrior nun Areala, created by Ben Dunn. Simon Barry adapted the comic book to Netflix. Barry is also the showrunner.
Barry was seen looking for locations in Spain to film the scenes for season 2. He was there between June 2021 and June 2021. We can therefore assume that the scene was still in pre-production.

Season 2 could see Ava heading after Adriel’s army and hopefully defeating the demon.
