Yuusha, Yamemasu Season 2 Release Date Predictions: Renewal uncertain

As of the last update, XXXX or any company involved in the production of the anime have not officially confirmed the I’m Quitting Heroing Season 2 date. A sequel to I’m Quitting Heroing has not been announced.

This article will be updated once the news has been confirmed.

It’s possible to speculate as to when or if the Yuusha Yamemasu Season 2 release date is.

Although the I’m Quitting Heroing reviews were positive, they weren’t great. Some of the negative reviews could be due to the abundance of fantasy anime and isekai that offer a twist on a classic trope. The story doesn’t just revolve around the twist that the legendary hero joins with the Demon Lord after being rejected by humanity… or the major plot twist provided in Leo’s backstory.

It’s more of a slice-of life fantasy story that gives insight into company management and human behavior in a workplace. The leadership of the demon army doesn’t understand management. Their “CEO”, the demon queen, has noble goals but doesn’t know how to implement a business plan.

It’s an easy story to relate to once you get past that first episode. This anime is the only one that can fully adapt a light-novel at its own pace. The comedy is great and the characters are well done. Perhaps the producer wanted the studio to adapt only a portion of the story to get new fans to purchase the books.

Streaming revenue perspectives, HIDIVE’s exclusive was either a success or failure. HIDVID has fewer subscribers than Crunchyroll.

Studio EMT Squared, aside from Kuma Kuma Kuma bear, isn’t well-known for producing successful anime series that have spawned a sequel.

All these factors make it difficult to predict if the anime production committee will renew I’m Quitting Heroing Season 2.

I’m Quitting Heroing manga is a light novel series that’s comparable to anime

Based on the Yuusha Yamemasu light novel series Tsugi no Shokuba Wa Maoujou by Quantum and Hana Amano, the story of the anime TV series is inspired.

The story, like many fantasy light novels was self-published on Kadokawa’s Kakuyomu website in 2017. Kadokawa Books published this light novel adaptation in three light novels volumes in 2017, 2018 and 2018. A reprint was published by Fujimi Fantasia Bunko in the first half 2022.

Since May 2018, the I’m Quitting Heroing manga version has been serialized by Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace Up Magazine. The manga’s art is created by Nori Kazato (Adarushan no Hanayome), while Quantum writes the text. There are six manga volumes as of April 2022 and counting!

Kadokawa has been publishing digitally an official English translation of the manga and light novel series. Only the first two light novels books of the anime were available online at the BookWalker website when it premiered in Spring 2022. The BookWalker website is now selling individual chapters of the I’m Quitting Heroing manga volume.

I’m Quitting Heroing season 1 joined the distinguished company of the 86 anime anime and the Sabikui bisco anime. It only adapted one light novel into an entire anime season. The two other anime TV series expanded upon the source material in ways which improved the story and not just filler to make the season longer.

The I’m Quitting Heroing anime also added several anime original scenes to provide additional explanations and exposition. The original light novel contained only three paragraphs about the backstory for the Mernes, a half-demon and half-human assassin.

The success of I’m Quitting Heroing can be attributed to the fact that it didn’t need to condense more than five books in an hurried rush to reach a satisfactory stopping point in a multibook story arc.

Instead, the first episode of the first season was adapted one chapter per episode. The first book book contains 7 chapters. There is also an epilogue and a final chapter. The Final Chapter, which is much longer than the regular chapters, was therefore adapted into several episodes.

Episode 6 of I’m Quitting Heroing is where Leo’s backstory is revealed as a 3,000 year-old Humanoid bioweapon. Bonus points for those who noticed the foreshadowing in Episode 5, when Leo talked “like” a human for his first time. This episode is the pivotal turning point in the series. It’s also the moment when the series becomes more interesting than just generic.

The ending of Volume 1 is an excellent way to end the story, as it’s where Demon Queen Echidna realizes that Lord Onyx was actually her mortal enemy Hero Leo Demonhart. Only at the end of Volume 1 do readers really get Leo’s true intentions. This is also the moment Leo finds complete acceptance from these irreplaceable friends he has made.

There is plenty of material to make I’m Quitting Heroing season 2. This is a good thing. The second season could be two seasons long and finish the story, or make the final volume of I’m Quitting Heroing Season 3.

Even better, English-only light novels readers can jump to Volume 2 on BookWalker if they wish to read the manga ahead of it. English manga readers can begin with Chapter 16.
