According to Small Screen, Season 4 of Outer Banks has already begun production.
According to the report, a source close to Outer Banks said that screenplays for season 3 and 4 had already been written earlier in the year.

“We are finishing the scripts for Seasons 3 & 4. Season 3 will begin filming in the new year, and should be available by mid-2022 if everything goes according to plan.
Outer Banks before Season 4
The show centers on a group of teenage girls who live in North Carolina’s Outer Banks. The rich Kooks and the poor Pogues have a long-standing feud and often fight. Pogue John B ( Chase Stokes), along with his friends, discover a sunken ship following a hurricane. This leads to an exciting adventure that takes them on an action-packed adventure to find more information. The friends eventually find a package from John B’s father, which includes a map as well as a tape recorder.
Dad tells John B that he wants him to “go after the gold” and that he is literally referring to $400 million worth of gold bars. John B and his friends start to look for gold. John B also falls in love with Sarah, his boss’ daughter ( Madelyn Clline ).
John B and his friends find the treasure miraculously, but Sarah’s father takes it. John B and Sarah escape drug dealers and cops by the end of the episode. The boat sinks, and the Pogues learn that the lovers have died. The couple are rescued by a passing boat heading for the Bahamas, where Sarah’s father has kept the gold.
Do not feel bad if you don’t find all the twists and turns of _’s first season easy to follow. Even the show’s stars had trouble doing a 30-second recap.
Season 2’s trailer made it clear that the Pogues were going to make things even more crazy. John B speaks in a voiceover, “My old man used tell me it was best not to say you’ve reached rock bottom.” He said that you can always go lower.
