Golden Kamuy Season 4 Trailer
Why is the Golden Kamuy Season 4 release date is October 2022 ?
In the last update at the time of this update, no one from MAPPA nor any other company linked with the making of the show has officially confirmed the Golden Kamuy Season 4 release date. It has been confirmed that season 4 will be scheduled to release in the month of October 2022.
If the news is confirmed, this post will be updated to reflect the pertinent details.
Although it’s true that the Golden Kamuy anime series hasn’t been a huge hit in the world but it has become an attraction in Japan. In fact there was it was a Golden Kamuy crossover with Spider-Man was used to introduce the Spider-Man movie to Japanese!
In the year of its release, Golden Kamuy Volume 18, the manga had sold more than 10 million units. In September 2020 it was reported that the Golden Kamuy manga series had sold 14 million copies and by the end of December 2021, it had reached 18 million copies.
Even though streaming revenue is the biggest factor in financial growth in the anime industry Golden Kamuy’s DVD and Blu-Ray sales have been very good. Two seasons in the beginning sold more than 3,800 copies during the first week. The third season’s debut Blu-ray/DVD disc was released in Japan on the 29th of January 2021. It was sold out of 3,402 copies within its initial week.
It’s possible that the series has always been a hit to the point where it’s not surprising that the committee responsible for anime production approved Golden Kamuy Season 4 for production. The manga is currently stocked with chapters to run the fourth season, and possibly the possibility of a Golden Kamuy Season 5 (see the manga section for more information).
Director Hitoshi Nanba stated in the year 2020 in 2020 that his Golden Kamuy Season 4 production decision was not yet made. If the studio’s scheduling was the same, we might have anticipated to see the Golden Kamuy Season 4 release date to be sometime in the fall of 2021.
However, since the decision to produce required a studio change, fans of anime needed to wait until the end of 2022 as anime productions are planned several years ahead.
However, the manga’s weekly episodes could have been more ahead of the anime. In the past time, when the second season’s finale aired , the manga was close to being able to catch up with the show. Thus, the wait to see Golden Kamuy Season 5 could be a bit shorter.
“The Golden Kamuy manga was initially intended to be a hunting tale
Golden Kamuy may be an epic action-packed anime however it’s not an epic tale of good against evil. The intriguing characters have different motives to their actions and the plot keeps viewers wondering what’s to come in the future.
The intensity is balanced by hilarious comedy, historical, Ainu culture moments, and occasionally a stray in Food Wars! territory. The movie is incredibly underrated. has been “a Western where you never know what you’ll get” and one could argue it’s a Tarantino style film with the appearance of an anime.
The plot of the anime is based on The Golden Kamuy manga by Satoru Noda. It’s true the initial inspiration came from the idea of creating a Food Wars!-style hunting manga that focused on an army soldier who had returned after an earlier war in Russo-Japanese War to the Hokkaido region.
It’s not surprising that Noda isn’t a fan of reading manga about cooking. However, as a creator Noda is a serious artist and did his best to conduct study the subject to ensure that the cooking sequences were created in a proper manner.
In interviews with people, Sugimoto Saichi actually was named after the great-grandfather of Noda, who was killed as the Tondenhei (farmer-soldier) throughout the conflict. However, the persona of Sugimoto came from FunasakaHiroshi. one of the men who was able to survive the blast of an exploding hand grenade.
The editor who managed Noda recommended an unpublished novel about hunting that was set within Hokkaido then the rest is the story.
“I believe that hunting encompasses everything from hunting an animal, eating it, making use of the bone and fur to create everyday items as well as selling the products to earn cash. Therefore, the representation of food was definitely a an element,” he explained. “But if it’s only about hunting, I would quickly run out of materials, so I decided to throw in various other elements.”
The battle with Japanese as well as Ainu culture is an integral element of the show. Noda knew about the Ainu culture from the time he was a kid and was always fascinating.
Although it’s a difficult matter due to the past of discrimination and persecution, Noda felt that if the manga was based on Ainu with a style that is “cheerful and interesting” then it would be a hit.
As he completed his year of study and study, Noda was told by the Ainu people also advised Noda, “‘Don’t make Ainu pathetic beings, and draw strong Ainu.’ I always try to depict characters fairly and carefully to render (the way Ainu people lived) as faithfully as possible.”
As with many of his characters Noda is an unorthodox duck. He’s had the pleasure of eating a variety of foods like badger’s brains which are thought to be hinna-hinna. When characters react to certain food items, their reactions are generally determined by the way Noda himself felt.
It’s not just the odd food choices that make this author slightly weird. Noda was once quoted when he was interviewed that his favourite scent was “cat’s balls” and that Marilyn Manson was his favorite fictional character.
He also stated that if he were forced to shell out 1 million yen over a single day, then he’d get “penis enlargement surgery that’s worth 1 million yen.” Noda isn’t averse to being an evil person, but he does admit that that he’s the type of person who would walk his dog, but not clean up after it.

This manga is published every week by Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine since August 2014. The manga is currently up to Volume 29 by April 19 2022. In the meantime, the Golden Kamuy Volume 30 release date is June 17, 2022 while the Golden Kamuy manga’s ending in Volume 31 will be released on the 19th of July in 2022.

In Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine, the manga series created by creator Satoru Noda reached its climax stage with the May 2021 publication of Golden Kamuy Chapter 277: Operation to defend Hanazawa Yuusaku’s Virginity.
Golden Kamuy Chapter 314 concluded the whole story on April 28th 2022.
Golden Kamuy manga compared to the anime
Manga fans have complained about how the anime has distorted the manga, based on how the story was adapting. Geno Studio condensed the story by skipping certain chapters and certain scenes, in order for the initial season to reach Chapter 62.
Golden Kamuy Season 2 picked the plot back up with Chapter 70. This means that a few stories about escapees from prison were not told. This season, in turn, was more fast-paced to reach the crucial point in the plot in Chapter 139 of Volume 14, which was a battle between Sugimoto and Nopperabou Asirpa’s father.
This means that the show skipped chapters 55-59 and 63 through 70. 85 through 83 and 87 through 91. 101 through 107 and 108 through 113.
Fortunately, some of the skimmed funny moments were uploaded via YouTube as animated shorts of 30 seconds while longer story arcs were made available in the form of OVA episodes.
OVA 1 was a reimagining of to the Barato story arc that was featured in Volume 6 (Chapters 55-59) that included a war between the sniper Ogata Hyakunosuke as well as Bakumatsu hero Hijikata Toshizo.
OVA 2 adapted “Escape King” Shiraishi Yoshitake’s background story of volume 9. (and Chapter 104) that the main show was not able to cover.
OVA 3 modified from the Monster Bear & the Yakuzas story the arc of chapters skipped from 63 to 70.
OVA 4 has adapted the hilarious/censored Shiton the Animals’ Friend story arc from Chapters through 113.

Third season’s adaption pacing was approximately four manga chapters each episode. The episodes 1 and 2 were adapted to the second part of Ch Chapter 139 (the first half of with the end of the season) and ended with Chapter 147.
Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 3 slowed down the pace slightly to focus more on Hajime Tsukishima’s emotional background.
Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 4 was a rewrite of the pages of Chapters 150 and 154 which focussed on the Sugimoto group, and concluded the Yamada Circus storyline in Chapter 158. (Yes it actually ended with an osoma tidal note.)
Here’s an overview of the way that the third season of the anime was adapted from the manga:
Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 1: Chapters 140 – 143Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 2: Chapters 144 – 147Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 3: Chapters 148 – 150Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 4: Chapters 151 (partial), 154 (partial), 155 – 158Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 5: Chapters 159 – 162Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 6: Chapters 163 – 166Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 7: Chapters 166 – 170Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 8: Chapters 171 (partial), 151 (partial) – 154 (partial)Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 9: Chapters 176 (partial) – 179Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 10: Chapters 180 – 184Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 11: Chapters 184 – 189Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 12: Chapters 189 – 191 (partial), 192 (partial), 196 (partial), 197 (partial), 200 (partial)
You can observe from the final episode, this third season was simpler version of the manga that was based on the recurring flow of the story’s arc. Each chapter is a direct lead to another major plot element and the most effective stopping point of the series is within the 50 chapters.
Based on the pace of the anime The finale, Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 12, was the point of no return shortly following the end of the Akou Prison Break story arc.
It’s the most effective stoppage because it’s the result of a major battle between the two groups , and it details the events that took place to Ogata. Additionally, Sugimoto and Asirpa decide to return to Hokkaido.
As the second season concluded by rewriting a portion of the chapter in the third season, the fourth season changed the order of chapters from different chapters to highlight on Sugimoto’s motivation for continuing his adventure. To achieve this it was necessary to cut a short narrative as well as an Koito flashback were not used and the final pages in Chapter 192 Chapter 192 were used for the final scene.
This implies that Golden Kamuy Season 4 Episode 1 will begin the story at some point around Manga Chapter 201.
The positive side is the fact that this manga already has enough material for the Golden Kamuy Season 4 anime to be made immediately with a single-cour series which ends at Chapter 273. Golden Kamuy Season 5 would be the final chapters.
If Golden Kamuy Season 4 is two-course, it’s likely that it’ll be finished adapting the complete manga.
Manga fans who read only in English from the United States who want to get ahead of the anime can go straight into the English Vol. 20.
Golden Kamuy OVA5 to adapt Pet Monster story arc?
The anime initially was unable to cover initially, the anime skipped Youichirou the Manslayer episode, which was Chapters 151-154. The second story featured Toshizou Hijikata Tatsuma Ushiyama as well as Shinpachi Nagakura. Instead of being adapted into Golden Kamuy OVA 5, the story was moved onto Episode 32/Season 3, Episode 8.
Episode 9 did do away with in fact skip the Pet Monster story arc, which spans from the second part of Chapter 171 until the beginning of 176. This story is likely to be adapted into Golden Kamuy OVA 5 since it isn’t in the the timeline of Golden Kamuy Season 4’s.
Notice: Golden Kamuy OVA 5 isn’t yet announced.
In the story’s episode, Sugimoto stops the rogue Ainu man, who is temporarily captured by Enonoka after killing a different person in a village nearby. Sugimoto proposes to execute the murderer himself as Ainu do not have the death penalty.
The Ainu will not their murderers’ fate, but that of the killer is likely to be worse. Instead of killing murderers in person they Ainu employ a method known as itoyuri, where they cut the eyes of the criminal with needles , and then burrow the bodies in a casket with no bottom. The casket with the murder victim is placed over the victim and so the perpetrator and the victim are both buried together.
The remainder part of the Pet Monster story arc focuses Toshizou Hijikata and Tatsuma Ushiyama looking for an tattooed Abashiri prisoner Sekiya Waichirou, who is located in the Lake Akan area. Former head of the jail Kadokura is well-known as a man who has suffered great misfortune, and he’s looking for Sekiya.
A former doctor, Sekiya killed 30 people by poison. Sekiya manipulates Ushiyama and Hijikata to consume poison and thereby paralyzing them. Both men are placed in a casket, in a state of near-death, where the air lasts for some more hours.
Sekiya is looking to intimidate their allies to give up their tattooed skins that are in their possession. Naturally it doesn’t always go according to plan…
Golden Kamuy Season 4 spoilers for the anime (plot synopsis/summary)
The manga’s story seems to have many more chapters before it is over. It has 24, Abashiri convicts tattooed in the map that lead into the gold. Though more than half of them have been found, Asirpa is the only person who is able to decipher the codes on the skins as she recognized that the Wilk Ainu Name is key in deciphering this tattoo mystery.
The quest for treasure is approaching its conclusion however Noda has plenty of excitement to offer anime fans.
“I think things that occur to us suddenly can also be easily expected by readers, so I drive myself to a corner, and before I’m cornered, I find an escape route that is unexpected,” the author stated. “Contrary to expectations, what’s needed is the boldness to create s**t, not to create the highest-grade curry prepared from various high-class ingredients.”
The last time that viewers were able to watch in the Golden Kamuy anime, the truth about the story and the motives behind Asirpa’s father was exposed. Asirpa has recovered her memories and then, after Kiroranke passed away it was decided they should return to Hokkaido.
In Noboribetsu the members from 7th Division are in Noboribetsu. 7th Division are resting at the hot springs when they encounter a strange tale of an individual wearing a goa at the end of night. The story takes some of the soldiers to an unheated spring in the hope of locating a convict however, the nighttime fight turns into the scene of a battle that is famous for its emission of volcanic gases known as Hell Valley.
While Sugimoto’s group is on the move, they travel to the Nivkh settlement close to Akou. Asirpa would like to go home to her mother, however she knows that the Lieutenant. Tsurumi won’t allow that. Asirpa believes that her father would have preferred the gold that was given to Hijikata Toshizou’s team.
When Asirpa inquires of Sugimoto If Wilk/Nopperabou spoken about his plan for his daughter, Sugimoto lies, not saying that Nopperabou has been training Asirpa in fighting and guide her people, the Ainu people. They both decide to band with Lieutenant. Tsurumi and gather the remaining tattooed skins.
In secret, Sugimoto feels it’s his duty to bring this story to an end, by freeing Asirpa of the struggle about the golden ring. This is how the third season ended , however the manga retold the story in a different manner to show the background stories of more characters.
As they try to decide what to do about the hurt Tsukishima as well as Ogata, Sugimoto simply wants to kill the former in the event that Ogata’s motivation for joining Kiroranke was a desire for gold. They’ll have to find an ophthalmologist, however it’s risky to allow Japanese personnel to live located in Russia illegally , so the Japanese disguise themselves in Nivkh.
Sugimoto quickly exposes their lies and the doctor then examines both of them. Ogata is scheduled to undergo surgery in a hospital however, that also means they’ll be identified by Russia’s Russian government.
Sugimoto isn’t ready for Ogata to go to the grave because he’s determined to investigate Ogata’s character in hopes that he can save Asirpa. So , Sugimoto’s team prepares Ogata to be transported.
It appears that things are not looking good in the clinic But Ogata not only escaped and escapes, but also is able to escape! Ogata gets a surprise from Second Sergeant Otonoshin Koito and take his gun.
Being in this situation creates Koito to reflect back on his childhood and what made him decide that Koito is so committed the first Lieutenant Tsurumi (and the way in which the older man was able to manipulate Koito through the fake kidnapping). This flashback has several chapters (197 to 200) which means it’s likely that it could be used as an OVA six episode.

Then, in our present time, Ogata is able to escape by horseback. Sugimoto attempts to stop the escape by firing towards the animal, however all of his shots are wildly. Sugimoto is hoping Ogata will come back so that he will be able to end his life.
Sugimoto’s team must find Sugimoto’s group must track down the Japanese sniper (and confront Russian Vasily, the Russian sniper) Vasily yet again) and escape Russia as well as Karafuto. They’ll have to face many obstacles and dangers, including the Bear Man and an Abashiri convict who is named Boutarou the Pirate. However, how do they get across the ocean with Koito and the destroyer of 7th Division standing at their side?
