The Cruel Summer Season 2 release date has not been announced yet, but it is most likely that it will be released in the near future. The first season of the show was released on August 25th, 2017 and the second season is set to air on September 15th, 2018. It is unknown if there will be a third season or if the show will end after this one.

Cruel Summer season 2 potential release date

Unfortunately, no confirmation or update has been made as to when, as of July 2022. Cruel Summer Season two will be released.

Jessica Biel, the executive producer of Cruel summer confirmed that new episodes will be released in 2022. It’s not in line with the season 1 release schedule, which was launched in April.

They actually didn’t start filming until the month before (more details later). So we’re looking forward to the end of the year with an absolute push.

Your guess as to when the show will return is just as good as ours. If Jessica is correct and the 2022 schedule remains in place, then we believe they have been moved to a fall/winter release slot. It will be available in October/November.

Cruel summer season 2 cast: Who’s returning for Cruel summer season 2?

Cruel Season has been given a complete makeover for season 2.

This includes a new story, cast and showrunner. Unfortunately, the season’s favourites won’t be returning (unless we see a twist).

Stars like Harley Quinn Smith and Froy Gutierrez, Chiara aurelia, and Olivia Holt won’t be returning.

The best part about this series is the new cast of characters we get to meet and hate. This year’s cast includes:

Cruel Summer season 2, plot: What happens in Cruel Summer Season 2?

Bad news: Skyline is leaving us in favor of a new location. It’s true: even the location will change in season 2.

The next episodes will be shot in a beautiful waterfront community in the Pacific Northwest. But, just because it is picturesque doesn’t mean that things won’t get messy.

The series will focus on the rise and fall a teenage friendship due to a complex and twisting love triangle. What’s more addicting than a love triangle in teenage drama?

We are also changing the dates. Season one was viewed through three different timelines in 1990s. This time, we jump forward 10 years with three timelines for the 2000s.

We cannot wait for everyone to get an AOL account and discover the iPod, or portable CD players. Wow!

As the season progresses we will see how a mystery affects Megan, Isabella, and Megan’s best friends Luke. We’ll also learn how loyalty is tested when hormones (and maybe a secret) are added to the mix.

CRUEL SUMMER 2 PLOT

Freeform has confirmed that season 1 focused on three summers in 1993, 1994 and 1995. Season 2 will focus on 1999, 2000 and 2001. The noughties will bring Cruel Summer to the fore.

According to a press release Cruel Summer season 2 will be back as an anthology series, “set in a idyllic waterfront community in the Pacific Northwest,” which means a new location.

The show will now be focusing on the new timeline around Y2K. This will highlight Megan’s friendship with Isabella and Megan’s best friend Luke. It will also focus on Megan’s complicated love triangle, as well as a mystery that will impact their lives moving forward.

This means that three new characters will be appearing on the show. We’ll discuss the casting and the reasons behind them later. For now, however, the creators hint at a “tragic twist”, high expectations from a strong father, and a secret about Isabella’s entrance in town. All to come and captivate viewers during Cruel Summer season 2.
