Pedro, devastated by his loss, returns home to a depressed state. Ernesto informs Pedro that now that he’s lost, he will expose Pedro’s embezzlement.
Ana and Pedro get into a big fight upon their return home. She tells him they were never a team, and about Brady’s offer. Both realize that they must go their separate ways, and Marcos and Sofia visit them with the tape. The four men watch the tape, which is a recording from their beach party just before Alejandro died. We learn that Alejandro fought Marcos and was trying to send Marcos’s messages to Alejandro. He also thanked him for saving him from being detained for drug possession.

Sofia follows Belinda’s footsteps and goes to the archives records to find what Belinda had discovered. She secretly returns to the station to confirm her suspicions and discovers shocking evidence regarding Sully’s involvement in the case.
Marcos requests Sofia to accompany him to the airport to pay a visit his father. Arturo is aware that Arturo and Daniela robbed him. They are both very confrontational towards one another when Marcos tells Marcos that he knew about tape number 35 being hidden. Arturo immediately denies the murder of Daniela. He then reveals to us that Marcos’s mother, who was also a drug addict, was also a drug addict. Marcos is now protected by Arturo. Marcos refuses to buy any of it and flees. Bernie kidnaps Sofia as she is heading to the airport. It’s not clear if the money she took is the only one she stole or if she managed to transfer most of it into a tax haven account. Bernie isn’t convinced by the amount he recovers and gives her a cell phone to help her find work to compensate.
According to news reports, Brady’s campaign was exposed by a whistleblower. This effectively disqualifies his candidacy. Pedro is elected instead. Ana decides to not join Brady’s office. Pedro, however, has already made the decision to continue their individual paths.

NOW AND THEN EXPLAINED
Flora visits Sully and forces him to confess at gunpoint. Flora had obtained his bank statements as well as video footage of Sully stealing tape 35, which was taken from the evidence room after Daniela’s death. Sully says that Arturo offered him a large sum to pay for Lisa, his wife’s treatment, and extend her life. Sully accepted the deal and lied to Flora about Marcos’s fingerprints being on Jessica Thompson’s vehicle. Flora never suspected Sully of involvement in the foul play and the case was closed due to the lack of evidence.
Arturo ordered Sully to kill Daniela after Arturo’s lawyer discovered that Daniela was the blackmailer. This was to keep her quiet. Belinda was also killed and her body dumped in Everglades. Flora is determined for Sully to be brought to justice, but she collapses due to her condition. Sully calls Flora an ambulance, and she runs away promising that she will find him. Arturo is taken into custody and Belinda’s remains are eventually found.
Sofia reveals her involvement in the blackmailing of Marcos at the airport. He also learns that she planned to use Arturo’s money to repay her Bernie debts. Marcos leaves her disgusted, and asks her never to see him again. She is shocked by this turn of events and gives Hugo $300,000 to help start a new life.
Pedro assumes his new role as mayor-elect, while Ana announces that she is running for governor of Florida. He also visits Ernesto, but he hasn’t yet revealed his crimes.
The epilogue is set two years into the future. Flora visits a morgue and is shown a corpse …?). That shocks Flora.
