Episode 13 of “Fanfare of Adolescence” aired on January 10th and it was a big one. The episode was focused on the characters’ high school graduation and the aftermath. The episode ended with a cliffhanger that left many fans wondering what will happen next. In this episode, we saw the characters dealing with their feelings about graduating from high school. Some were excited while others were scared. We also saw some shocking revelations about certain characters and what happened in the past year. The ending of this episode left many people wondering what will happen next. Will our favorite characters get their happy endings? Or will something else happen that will surprise us? We can’t wait to find out! ..

SAYING GOODBYE

This episode is the end. Each character gets enough screentime so that we can say good-bye. It actually brings back everyone. It brings back everyone. Even Hayato comes back. We find out what he’s doing now. Even though he left the jockey school he intends to continue working with animals in a different manner. Sojiro and he share a sweet moment. They have a wonderful chemistry.

Yu meets his former manager and is able close unfinished business. It does provide more information about Yu’s past, and it also redeems Naoko, who was often annoying. We can see why she behaved that way. After his parents’ deaths, Naoko raised Yu. He was on a path that she had set and it was hard for her to understand why he wanted to go another direction. She loves him as her son, and supports him. It is a wonderful way to redeem the character.

This episode is undoubtedly a moving one. You can sense that this episode is the end of the adventure because it lasts for the entire time. One last chance to see the important connections between characters – Hayato, Sojiro and Aki share a scene together. Yu and Shun also share a scene together. Eri learns to be her own person and not to focus on the things she represents. Amane is back to his normal self and he remains true to himself.

The end is only a beginning. This episode is exactly that. This episode is not a sad goodbye, but it is setting up a new start for the characters. It is not sad, but beautiful.

YU SHUN

Last week’s episode concluded with Shun telling Yu that he needed to tell Yu something. That scene was the highlight of my finale. I was not disappointed. As I suspected, Shun has made the decision not to become a jockey. There are two options for him: working on the farm with horses, or as a trainer at Sumeragi stables. He doesn’t care about winning; he just cares about the animals. These two options are his best. As I mentioned in my review of Episode 9 Shun is a Makoto (from Free!). This type of character is very special. Shun is an important character. Just as there are many ways to work in swimming than as a swimmer there are also other ways to work alongside horses.

It is amazing to see the story as a whole. I love the fact that the main characters choose a different path even though they are together. Shun chooses a different path, while Yu follows the jockey’s path. The scene in which Shun makes his decision to Yu is undoubtedly the most powerful. The scene they share in Episode 11 is actually on the same level. They are so in love with each other and always there for one another. They are able to feel the emotion through the words they exchange, Sawano’s music, and the beautiful scenery. It’s a stunning sight. This scene is the core of the episode. It is true that we see bits of it throughout the episode, until it reaches its emotional peak.

THE SEVENTH RACE

The finale doesn’t really concentrate on the races, unlike last week’s episode. It is actually not important what happens in the seventh race. It is about the emotions of the characters during the race, and how they feel afterwards. The fact that Shun, Yu and Yu win the race feels poetic. Shun’s last race is an emotional one. This moment is shared with his special person. It connects to the big scene that occurs throughout the episode. It is amazing how they created this final. There is no better way to end the story.

THE FUTURE WAITS

During the credits, do not turn off your television. First, there is the lovely song “Move the Soul” with a montage featuring different scenes from the series. A post credits scene is also included. This scene occurs after graduation. This gives us a glimpse at the lives of the characters after graduation. It makes perfect sense that the last seconds of this series focus on Yu and Shun.

Although this episode ends the story in a satisfying manner, it leaves the door open to more stories. They are just beginning their adulthood, and have a long road ahead. It is possible to do anything.

The opening scene of the episode gave us a glimpse into the future. It features Shun, Yu, and Amane. It is unclear what context it is, other than that it appears like Amane is reuniting himself with the two leads. After all these years, Shun was still wearing Yu’s cap. This was an important and beautiful detail. The clothes they wear can tell you a lot about their life at the time. Lay Duce should be able to revisit these characters one day and tell more about their stories.

It’s Saturday. It is Saturday, which means that it is time to air a new episode Fanfare Of Adolescence. There is only one remaining episode. This is not fair. This series was absolutely wonderful. These twelve weeks flew by, and I didn’t even notice. It will be difficult to see the season end next week. We can still hope for another season. It is possible that it may happen, but for now, there are no guarantees. Is this the end of the first chapter?

BACK TO SCHOOL

The internship ended last week in episode. This week, the characters are back at school. They are now in the final stage. This is actually the final stage, which consists of 8 training races. These are the final two episodes. You can hear different versions and variations of the track Rush every time there is a race. Hiroyuki Sawano has created a track that will give you the adrenaline you need for these races. This track adds so many things to what you see onscreen.

This episode is mainly about the races and features most of the characters at the same level. These races are more than just an individual effort. They all work together to make it better. This episode features their jockey outfits as they race. This is their first episode.

WHAT’S NEXT?

This episode has a post-credits scene which leaves you eager to see the next episode. This episode is about Yu and Shun. It is obvious that I will be thinking about this all week, wondering what Shun wants to say to Yu. It is something I know. It could be anything. What will Yu do? And what does this mean for Yu? There are so many questions, and only one week to wait to find the answers.

Although I would love to see the second season, I feel the ending will wrap up all the storylines and leave the door open for the next installment. It would be fascinating to see. Similar to free! after Eternal Sommer.

VERDICT

Fanfare gets all in on the horse racing with an intense episode. This is a satisfying and moving conclusion to this incredible series. Yu and Shun have had a very difficult adventure as they tried to figure out their goals. Through these thirteen episodes, there have been many times when I laughed, cried and cheered. This is without doubt the best anime series.
