Vampire In The Garden’ Season 1: Plot Summary

Fine, a vampire queen, and Momo, the commander’s daughter seek refuge in an imaginary paradise, where both humans and vampires live happily together. Momo and Fine meet during the war. Together they set out to find this paradise. They cross cold seas to reach a village that promises happiness, but it seems very strange. The vampires sent to rescue Fine and the soldiers and other mercenaries sent to retrieve Momo by the commander are able to overtake them.

Momo was introduced to the world in “Vampire In The Garden”, when the human army found a hiding place for vampires in the village where they lived. The army ambushed the vampires hiding in the hideout and killed them.

Momo, however, didn’t have enough heart to kill a child vampire. He hesitated and got his comrades into trouble. Later, her mother, the commander, reprimanded her. Momo and Mirena, her friend, had kept the music box belonging to the vampire child to themselves. Momo would then fix it and they could listen to it play. However, music, dancing, and alcohol were prohibited in human lands. They were associated with vampires, so they were shunned by human society. Momo was thrilled to hear one tune through the music box. Momo longed to escape the oppressive world because she was tired of fighting.

The news of the ambush was reported to the vampire realm. Unhappy with the humans, the vampires devised a plan for snuffing them out. The vampire queen was not one to drink blood, and she opposed fighting right from the beginning. Like Momo, she longed for a place where vampires and humans could co-exist peacefully and stopped fighting. After a banquet, she retreats to her cabin and Allegro follows her as she talks about her decision to execute the ambush against the humans. Allegro invites him to join them in battle.

Fine saves Momo in battle. Momo had fled human society to seek refuge in the forest to soothe her spirit. Fine is forced to meet her after hearing her singing. A drug helps a vampire become a monster and attack the human army. Fine and Mirena save Momo from this monster, who then attacks Momo. Fine rushes to save Mirena, but it’s too late. She grabs Momo and they flee to Fine’s hideout.

The commander sent soldiers and reached out to his brother, who is the leader of the mercenaries. He wanted Momo to return. They arrive at the hideout to find Fine and Momo playing the piano and singing. They take out an unsuspecting fine, and then try to seperate them. Allegro arrives along with the vampires to take Fine. Fine and Momo escape in a car to the woods and seek paradise.

Momentarily, he relapses, but Momo revives him, taking bottles of blood from nearby townspeople while he stays in the vampire town. Allegro attacks Momo during her heist in order to bring blood back to Fine. He demands to know Fine’s whereabouts. Momo defends Allegro and rushes to save Fine. Fine and she continue on their adventure, but Fine’s condition worsens over time.

They arrive in a place where vampires and humans live together in harmony. They love to sing and dance together, but there is a strange cadence. Fine is suspect. She doesn’t want Momo to lose the joy of finding it. As her condition worsens, she leaves Momo to be supported by Allegro.

Vampire in the Garden Ending explanation

Momo rushes in to save Fine who has become a monster.

Fine refused to listen while she wreaked havoc upon the mercenaries. Momo’s uncle began fighting Fine as a last resort. After Momo spoke up, Fine was able to stop hurting Momo and his uncle. He lay down on the ground, thinking back to when his wife, a vampire, had been killed by her sister during a phase of bloodlust. Momo eventually escaped with Fine. They arrived at a field of blooming Azaleas. Fine admitted to having been with Momo before. Momo shared Fine’s looks and her voice.

Aria was her name. Aria was murdered by the humans after they discovered about her existence. She was killed in the ensuing chaos. Fine admitted to having Momo at first as a replacement for Aria. But then she changed her mind and fell in Love with Momo and her Spirit. Fine came to love Momo during their adventure. Fine died after she had confessed her love for Momo. Momo wept in pain as Fine died. As she held Fine in her arms, she calmed down to give him a proper funeral. On the way out, she met her mother. Momo allowed Fine to live with her, despite the Commander’s pleas for Momo’s return. She is now free from the oppressive, suffocating world she was born into.

Fine was given a proper burial by Momo so that she could rest peacefully and resume a normal life. Momo didn’t return to the town. She stayed in the city and discovered the paradise she shared with Fine. She discovered a place where vampires and humans lived in peace. They danced and sang to the delight of their hearts, no longer having to live a dull life.

Fine moved on to the afterlife with Momo, but she was there in spirit, supporting her, leading her, and watching over her. Fine and Momo have left the life of authoritarianism they lived. The human race was unhappy. They had become robots to fight the vampires. The vampires were also prone to debauchery and had no sense of discipline.

They were out on the prowl to kill humans in order to revenge their lost limbs. They were poles apart. But too much of anything is bad. It is important to strike a balance between total discipline, and total enjoyment. The vampires were unable to maintain a discipline and had lost sight of the simple pleasures of life. Momo and Fine could serve as mediators between the extreme points.

We can draw a parallel between the worlds of anime and humans and say that Momo, Fine and others have attempted to escape the rat-race that has plagued us since our infancy. The majority of people who try to escape this ratrace must pass very difficult tests. Those who fail simply die along the way. The real world is just as brutal as the anime world and shows almost no mercy.

These tests are a way to change the world. Momo set out to change the world that was suffocating her. She stood tall and persevered through all the challenges life presented. In small steps, she transformed the world into the vision she had. Momo was the visionary that the world needed after it fell into chaos. Aria was the start of the movement. Momo led it to its finesse. Fine was a guide for each stage.

Allegro

Momo panics when she finds Fine’s note. She then sets out to find her but is stopped by the townsfolk and locked her up. After making sure Fine didn’t wake up, they began to hunt her down and placed her in a coffin. Momo manages to escape, but the townsfolk chase her down and take her to the mysterious submarine. She discovers that the vampire, who has been overfed and has the ability to generate electricity for the town, is kept by the townsfolk. Momo becomes disgruntled and is unable to escape from the submarine. Fine rescues Momo after she wakes up. The commander and the army arrived simultaneously at Fine. Momo managed to escape yet again.

They follow them to a small township where Fine is confronted. To save Momo, she uses the drug and confronts the army. Allegro confronts Momo, asking for Fine’s location again. Fine confesses to her that she has used the drug. Momo is threatened by a mercenary who approaches her. Allegro saves Momo, but he also risks his own life. Allegro urges Momo to save her by going to Fine. After saving her, he loses his life and bleeds out. Allegro died in the regret that he could not save Fine as he promised. After falling in love with another person, he had to watch her fall apart again. He just wanted her to be happy.
