In the episode “The Last Jedi,” Luke Skywalker is shown training with Yoda on Ahch-To island and then going off into exile to find Rey. At the end of the episode, Rey is shown using the Force to bring Luke back to life and he joins her on a journey to find Kylo Ren and stop him from destroying Luke’s legacy. In “The Last Jedi,” it is revealed that Rey is not just some random person who has been chosen by the Force; she is actually Luke’s daughter who was hidden away by his friends after she was born because they didn’t think she would survive. This revelation leads Rey and Luke on a journey across space in search of answers about her family and her place in the galaxy. Meanwhile, in “The Last Jedi,” Kylo Ren finally realizes that he has been duped by Supreme Leader Snoke all along and decides to turn against him. He leads an attack on Snoke’s ship, but Snoke manages to escape alive. This leads Kylo Ren into a conflict with Rey which culminates in him stabbing her in the stomach with his lightsaber (a scene which was controversially cut from some versions of the movie). She survives but is left badly injured; as a result, she disappears for much of Season 2 while Luke trains Ben Solo (Kylo Ren’s son) in order to defeat Kylo Ren once and for all. ..

This previously unpublished chapter of Obi Wan’s story is set in the darkest times between the original Star Wars trilogys. It shows how Obi-Wan learns to move beyond the events of Revenge of the Sith, the loss of Anakin Skywalker, and the transition to the dark side. Obi-Wan Kenobi is more than just surviving and hiding under the Empire’s eyes. It shows Kenobi rebuilding his Force balance as a Jedi, while also reconciling with the past at the end of the season. Why did Obi Wan spare Darth Vader’s life?
On the surface, it seems that Obi-Wan did not finish Vader in the final scene. The Sith Lord was not meant to die Return of the Jedi. The film’s release is a decade after the events in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Therefore, Vader is the strongest character until then.
From a story perspective, it all comes back to episode 5, when Obi-Wan tried to teach his young padawan how Jedi’s are supposed to protect life and that winning doesn’t always equal showing mercy. In a few years, Luke Skywalker will be able to defeat the Emperor and save his father by learning to forgive and to show mercy.
Obi-Wan is practicing what he preaches while the Jedi Master waits on the Jedi Master to take him down. Obi-Wan refuses to give up and saves the life of his former apprentice, while accepting that Anakin cannot be saved.
What’s her next move?
Darth Vader could not die in this series for many continuity reasons. Luke still has much to do in the years ahead. Reva was unable to stop the plot armor that protected the future hero of Rebellion and last Jedi. There’s more to the story. Reva makes a major decision about her future by sparing Luke his life. She refuses to be the monster she spent her entire life trying to destroy. Reva wouldn’t be able to stop a defenseless child if she tried. She would not be better than the Sith Lord, who murdered her fellow younglings during Order 66.
Reva realizes that her desire for revenge nearly led her down a path she would never be able to return. She chooses to let go of her anger at Anakin and Obi Wan, leaving her lightsaber in the desert. Obi-Wan urges Reva not to let the guilt of being a survivor control her and encourages her to follow a different path.
But where will Reva go? Reva’s abandonment of her Tatooine weapon suggests that she is moving on from the constant conflict between the dark and light sides of the Force. Although she’s done with the Empire, it is likely that she doesn’t want to go back to the trauma of becoming Jedi Knight. She could, like many Legends characters before she, choose to let go of her connection with the Force to begin afresh. What would she do without the Force and a lightsaber, or both? That’s a great story that is waiting to be told in a spinoff!
What’s next for Princess Leia ?
The happy ending for Princess Leia and her parents Bail Organa and Breha Organa is Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Organa family says goodbye to Obi-Wan as they are reunited on Alderaan. They hope for better days ahead. Obi-Wan informs Bail that he knows the Jedi’s location if he ever requires his assistance again. But the Senator responds that he hopes that that day never comes.
Although it may seem like a beautiful moment, we know this scene foreshadows the tragic events to come in a decade. These tragedies include the deaths of Bail, Breha and every other living thing on Alderaan. As Obi-Wan zooms into space, we see that the Death Star will completely destroy the planet in nine years. This goodbye scene could be the last time you see the planet’s surfaces onscreen.
Some good things do happen before that. We learn that Bail and Leia are instrumental in the creation of the Rebel Alliance, which will fight against the Empire’s tyranny. Their tireless efforts and sacrifices are what eventually allow the galaxy to stand up and defeat the cruel war machine of the Emperor.
What happens to Reva after Obi-Wan Kenobi’s death?
Obi Wan Kenobi Episode 5 showed Reva learning more about the boy Kenobi was protecting on Tatooine. The finale shows the former Inquisitor trying to take revenge by killing Luke Skywalker. Despite fighting Aunt Beru and Uncle Own, and her pursuit for young Luke, the ex-Jedi youngling realizes that she is unable to kill him as revenge for the deaths of her friends during Order 66. Obi-Wan arrives just in the right time to see Reva return Luke to Owen, Beru and Beru. The Jedi master encourages Reva to realize she has shown mercy to her friends and helped them find peace.
Although it is unclear what Reva will do next after the end of Obi-Wan Kenobi‘s existence, she’ll likely seek refuge from the Empire to find peace. It was a pleasant surprise, however, that Reva survived after she had achieved redemption. This is a common trope. Although the possibility exists that the former Third Sister might have settled down somewhere on Tatooine, it is more likely that she has fled the world to seek out somewhere remote and isolated to keep her secrets.
What’s Next For Obi-Wan Kenobi?
After his trip across the galaxy with Princess Leia it seems that Obi-Wan Kenobi is ready for Luke’s protection on Tatooine for 9 more years, before the events of a New Hope. The Star Wars Canon confirms that Kenobi had many adventures on Tatooine, including dealing with Tuskens Raiders, and even getting on the wrong side of Jabba. This led to Kenobi entering a fight with the Wookiee Black Krrsantan.
After facing Darth Vader and the dark of his past, Kenobi feels reenergized and will be able to communicate with Qui-Gon Jinn. He will then teach him the secrets and cosmic Force Force (allowing Obi Wan to become a Force ghost following his death). With Darth Vader not knowing where Obi Wan went or his children’s identities, it looks like Kenobi will have a renewed purpose after facing Darth Vader and the darkness of his past. The ending to Obi Wan Kenobi season 1 dynamically wraps the events of the new Star Wars series. It also sets the stage for the galaxy’s redemption with A NEW HOPE
