Tokyo Ghoul: The Release Order

As I was one of the people watching the anime in its entirety when it first premiered We decided to share with viewers the order of viewing as per the release dates for each season, as well as for the OVA first. While the chronology may not exactly match up in this way, we believe that you are seeking the same kind of experience that we had when we first watched Tokyo Ghoul the day that it first aired.

Additionally, certain prequels contain significant portions of the mythology which has been explained within the narrative. Therefore starting from the beginning, you may encounter some issues, since the prequels do not actually tell the entire story rather they rely on an assumption that the viewers already watched the main story and understood the basic concept behind the story. When this list is finished, and we’ll then provide the exact chronological order of watching to the show. Now, let us see:

Tokyo Ghoul (Season 1)

The first episode of the series was known as Tokyo Ghoul that was broadcast on July 4 and continued through September 19 on the 19th of September in 2014. The entire season comprised 12 episodes and was based on approximately 50% of Sui Ishida’s manga. The series was noted for its direction, plot animation, and music. It’s notable because it follows the adaptation to the original content as opposed to the later seasons.

The first season centers on Ken Kaneki, a college student who struggles to endure an unimaginable event with Rize Kamishiro. Kamishiro which is the name of his partner. Rize is later revealed as a haunted ghost. The hospital where he was admitted in critical circumstances. After being discharged, Kaneki discovers that he was the victim of an operation that changed him into a half-ghoul.

It was possible because specific organs from Rize’s were transferred into his body. He is now required to consume human flesh like normal ghouls , to survive. The ghouls from the local “Anteiku” cafe welcome him and assist him in navigating his new world as semi-ghoul. The main challenges he is facing are that he is being accepted into the Ghoul society and hiding his identity from humans especially his best friend Hideyoshi Nagachika.

Tokyo Ghoul A(Season 2)

The second season of the series was titled the Tokyo Ghoul and aired from January 9th until February 27, 2015. The series consisted of 12 episodes that were similar with the original. Tokyo Ghoul was not well-loved because of its plot which was an unfinished adaptation of the first chapter of Ishida’s manga. The best part about this is that the second series was both Ishida’s and his own interpretation of his manga, so it’s something that the writer of the series had in mind. Some people consider the anime’s storyline is less engaging as the manga’s but we have to admit that the outline of the storyline was the same.

The second episode of the animated series follows Ken Kaneki following his joining of the Aogiri Tree, as the Aogiri Tree begins to fight the CCG who attempt to destroy the ghouls group. The season ends with a fierce fight between the ghouls and CCG which culminates in an epic battle between Kaneki and Arima but the fight wasn’t seen on the screen.

These are just a few of the shows:

Tokyo Ghoul: [Jack]

Tokyo Ghoul [JackJACK] was the first OVA episode that was released as part of the Tokyo Ghoulseries. The episode premiered in September of 2015 , which occurred one year following the initial season of the anime ended. [JackisJackis is a full length duration that runs for 30 minutes. It is inspired by the manga written by Ishida himself. [[Jack]] is a prequel that is the story of young Kisho Arima prior to joining CCG. CCG and was the top enforcer of CCG.

The main character in the OVA is a man of Kaneki’s age , but is different from the shy protagonist from the animation. Taishi Fura is a high school student from Tokyo who suffers from an illness that has affected his life and is believed that the reason was injury or damage to his body that stopped him from performing the only thing he was skilled in.

Fura became a delinquent after joining a biker gang and yelling at his teachers. The episode begins in the middle Fura and his group of buddies encounter an apparition of a ghoul on the streets of Tokyo. This is a new character that we’ve never seen in the main series , and is also a reference to Halloween. He wears masks like the “pumpkin head” mask and use the name of Lantern.

Lantern rapidly kills one of Fura’s closest companions. He’s about to do exactly the same act to Fura and the child. Fura wants to shield the girl. A calm and serene boy is seen in the vicinity. The boy’s name is Kisho Arima. He’s an acquaintance of Fura’s that Fura dislikes. Fura is shocked when she discovers that Arima is calm. Arima could pose an enemy to Lantern and makes him run away into the darkness.

In the rest portion of the episode Fura joins Arima to fight the ghosts that haunt the ghouls’ dungeon and Fura trying to solve the problem making use of Lantern. A girl is added to the team, and the OVA shows the bonding between all the characters during the fight as well as a representation of the camaraderie bond that unites the anti-ghoul police team in the main episode. But, Fura is also taught an unforgiving understanding of the nature and characteristics of the ghoul, which will lead to a harsh and dark ending.

Tokyo Ghoul: PINTO

Tokyo Ghoul: PINTO is the second OVA episode in the Tokyo Ghoul series and, as with Jack the Jack is a component of the story. It was inspired by the Novel Tokyo Ghoul The Days which tells of how Shu Tsukiyama and Chie Hori became so close. The film lasts for 25 minutes. It premiered on the 25th day of December in 2015, just three months after its release the film [Jack].

The protagonist of the animated series can be Shu Tsukiyama, the greedy dapper ghoul that dominated most of the beginning season, and who is reported to explode into ecstatic joy at the thought of perfect meat. Shu is shown to be healthy in the opening sequence part of “PINTO”. Shu kills a innocent Jogger, then eats the body of his victim, enjoying the fetishistic pleasure.

Man sings a lengthy song about the beauty and appeal of the dead before taking a bite of the leg. The story twists abruptly. Shu finds out that he’s been monitored by a young girl who has just finished the primary school. She takes photos of Shu. The complete absence of fear in the child does not bother Shu and instead, it enthralls Shu.

Shu decides not to murder the girl just yet, and instead decides for her to reveal the terror of her existence. She realizes that she can remain calm and peaceful when she observes ghouls devouring human beings – assuming it’s natural , however, she’s committed to the human catastrophe which she believes to be not needed and useless. The OVA examines the nature of their relationship and also the growing strength of their bond.

Tokyo Ghoul:re (I) (Season 3)

After a long absence, Tokyo Ghoul returned for the debut season of Tokyo Ghoul The show an adaptation of the first episode of the manga sequel Ishida’s that had the same name. The show aired 12 episodes. first episode of “Re” was broadcast starting on April 3rd and running to June 19th, the 19th of Junein 2018. This show is generally well-loved by both viewers and critics and was a huge leap over Tokyo Ghoul. There were some complaints directed at the lack of interest in the plot.

There have been 2 years between the the CCG’s assault on Anteiku. The atmosphere in Tokyo has drastically changed because of the power growing of the CCG but, ghouls are still able to make trouble and have now begun to take precautions, especially those from the terror group Aogiri Tree, which has acknowledged the increasing threat posed by CCG to their survival.

The establishment of a distinct team, dubbed the Quinx Squad also known as the Quinx Squad, may provide the CCG an extra boost that they require to get rid of the city’s unsavory inhabitants. Human beings, who went through processes to gain the unique abilities of ghosts. They are part of efforts to defeat the deadly creatures.

The leader of the group, Haise Sasaki, is a half-human, half-ghoul that has been trained by the well-known Special Class Detective Kisho Arima. It’s much more to this story of the young man than meets the eye , as many memories chew at his brain, eventually leading him to think about his past self. be.

Below are the episodes of the show:

Season 4 as well as the last season of Tokyo Ghoul, i.e. The second season Tokyo Ghoul The show was released on September 29, 2018 and aired through December 25, 2018. The show also featured 12 episodes, that’s the same as the previous seasons.

The the second installment of “Re” adapts the last episode of the manga sequel written by Ishida, who has the similar name . It was a look at Ken Kaneki’s path to becoming the One-Eyed King and also the leader of the ghouls, who establishes a positive connection with humanity. Despite the long filler-like elements the finale was moving and emotional, and that’s the reason why many people praise the show. The show was an exact adaption of the manga written by Ishida.

Following the closure of the Tsukiyama Family Extermination Operation, the members of the Commission of Counter Ghouls (CCG) have increased dramatically in strength and have been working toward the end aim of eliminating all ghouls found in Japan.

After resigning following the resignation of Quinx Squad, the now seemingly stoic Haise Sasaki begins taking on more and more duties for the CCG with no regard for the issues. Despite his lack of expression, Ken Kaneki’s past is coming to light in Haise and he’s in a state of emotional conflict within himself.

While he’s at it his attitude toward people can be detrimental to those who surround him. Quinx Squad are left in chaos, dealing with the loss of a member, with the assistance by their leader. In the midst turmoil and uncertainty the two teams Quinx Squad and Haise must be loyal towards their commitment to the CCG no matter if they choose to do so freely or not.
