Takagi’s appearance
Takagi, a young girl of average height and slim build, is Takagi. Her long straight brown hair falls to her upper back. She also has two locks of hair on either side. Her features include large brown eyes with thin eyebrows and light skin. As her school uniform, she wears a spring/summer-sailor uniform. She wears a long-sleeve uniform in the fall/winter with a red bow tie and blue skirt.
Black socks are also included. Brown clogs are her choice. She wears a shirt that has red color around the collar and cuffs for P.E. The P.E. The P.E. Shirt also has the reading 1-2, just like Nishikata’s P.E. shirt. She wears a leotard in blue for swimming. On weekends and during summer vacation, she wears casual clothing.
She wears dark jeans and a dark T-shirt as an adult in the spinoff manga. Although she is now taller than Nishikata, her height has decreased significantly. In adulthood, she retains her slim build. PERSONALITY
Takagi is kind-hearted and caring. Although she is sometimes seen acting irritably towards Nishikata, her classmate, Takagi cares deeply for him and enjoys spending time with him.
Takagi is a very intelligent person, scoring consistently higher on tests than her classmates. Even though she isn’t a competitive person, Takagi wins the majority of her competitions against Nishikata. Because of Nishikata’s facial expressions or mannerisms she can read Nishikata’s mind and follow up on what he thinks, sees, does and thinks. She is also not easily scared.
Nishikata tried to scare Takagi with scary videos and she barely responded. Takagi is known to be well-versed in romance stories, myths, and rumors. She often gives hints to Nishikata. It is not clear if she believes them. Sometimes she can be a concern, as when she felt sorry for Nishikata after his accident while trying to rescue her from stumbling.
Takagi can strike first and strike back quite easily. However, she can also fake her emotions and hide her problems. She even pretends to laugh at Nishikata’s mistakes and failures. Even when she’s having emotional difficulties, Takagi is positive and cheerful to all of her classmates. Takagi is generally calm and level-headed. However, she can lose her cool around Nishikata.

She dismisses the notion that Takagi has romantic feelings for her.
They are shown to enjoy being together and have many common interests, including teasing. Because of their shared interests and obvious facial expressions, Takagi can easily read Nishikata’s mind. Takagi is able to see past Nishikata’s actions and understand his thoughts. This allows Takagi to understand Nishikata’s thoughts and help him in every day matters.
Despite all the banter and difficulties, Takagi still tries to have genuine romantic, wholesome experiences with Nishikata at times, but he is afraid of being teased. Takagi has a crush upon Nishikata. However, Nishikata is still young and in school so she isn’t ready to admit it. Takagi’s flirtations often served as romantic hints for Nishikata, to test her boundaries and her responses to her actions. Despite Nishikata’s shyness and constant teasing Nishikata, Takagi and Nishikata are close friends who enjoy each others company.

Mano and Takagi are close friends and classmates. Takagi encourages Mano, as demonstrated in the pool chapters, to be more assertive toward Nakai. Chapter93 Mano asks Takagi to give more advice on Nakai’s relationship. Takagi then shares some strategies she uses with Nishikata.
