In the fifth chapter of the spinoff series Kanojo Hitomishirimasu Sumi meets Mami for the very first time in a cafe. Sumi observes from afar Mami’s manipulation of men to get them to do favors for her. Mami approaches Sumi in Chapter 8 when she is not at the table.
Chapter 9: Sumi panics when Mami appears suddenly. Sumi thinks she may have seen her before, but can’t remember. Sumi is excited to see Kazuya’s return and introduces Sumi, Mami and Kazuya.
