A brief overview is first for those who enjoy watching seasonal anime while binging. Tsuki, Laika and Nosferatu aremost well-known as Irina the Vampire Cosmonauton Funimationis an alternate history fantasy anime about a girl who became the first to reach the Moon. The United Kingdom of Arnak and the Zirnitra Union are two superpowers that fight to win in space.
Zirnitra launches the Nosferatu Project to achieve this goal. Irina, a vampire girl, is made a test subject to see how space conditions will be. She plans to send her to the moon later in the future. Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut Vol 7 was the end of the story in 2021
The anime story is inspired by the Irina The Vampire Cosmonaut light novels series by Keisuke Makino, and Karei. The Japanese title Tsuki To Raika to Nosferatu can also be translated into English as The Moon and Laika or the Bloodsucking Princess.
The book series was first published December 2016. It reached Tsuki To Raik to Nosferatu Vol 7 by October 19, 2021. Volume 7 is the last book in the series. Even looking at the cover art and the illustrations, you can see the spoilers. They show exactly what happens to Lev (and Irina) in the end.
The original creator joined forces with Sojihogu, a manga artist, to create the Irina The Vampire Cosmonaut manga series. Sojihogu developed health problems, and the manga was taken off-line by Sojihogu in January 2019. The manga series has only one volume, as of November 2018, after a long hiatus.
The official English translation of the book will be released in Canada and the USA by Seven Seas Entertainment’s Airship imprint. Volume 1 is due in August 2022.

Irina: The Vampire manga/light-novel series compared with the anime
Irina, The Vampire Cosmonaut anime joins 86 anime to show that they have not rushed through the source material. It was rare for anime TV shows to faithfully adapt books. But now, we are almost treated to original anime content.

This is the perfect ending point, as it wraps up the first story arc in the light novel series. The book’s conclusion allows anime to have a happy, self-contained ending. It would be strange for the first season of the anime to end in Volumes 3, 4 and 4, since these books change the narrative perspective to another set of characters.
There were major differences in the happy endings of Volume 2 and the anime. The books showed that the Supreme Leader’s pro-vampire speech was a ruse since Irina would have been killed in the hospital had Lev not said anything.
