One-Punch Man Chapter 168 Sends Saitama Back In Time

Yusuke Murata’s jaw-dropping work on One-Punch Man has caught the attention of the entire world. In the last few chapters, the author has created a benchmark for manga by creating amazing fight sequences. Every panel of Saitama’s and Garou’s fights are adorned with stunning drawings and intricate details. Chapter 168 is no exception.

WARNING This article contains spoilers to One-Punch Man Chapter Chapter 168.

The latest chapter sees Garou awaken the power of Gods and force Saitama unleash his true potential. He uses the “Copycat” trick to defeat the hero. Garou copies Saitama’s moves and scores a few punches against the Caped Baldy. Saitama was able to match Garou’s power for a while but Saitama grew stronger with each attack.

Garou is able to accept the fact that he cannot defeat Saitama even though he snatched God’s powers. The caped hero’s power surges exponentially during the fight. Garou is able to witness the true might of this bald monster. Saitama’s only concern in the chapter seems to be losing his clothes.

One-Punch Man Chapter 168’s most shocking part was Saitama’s sneeze. It was strong enough to kill Jupiter. Garou manages to dodge Saitama’s “Serious Sneeze” attack. However, at this point the Hero Hunter admits that escaping his fate is the only way. Garou successfully teleports back home to Earth. But, to his delight, Saitama follows him. Evidently, Saitama vomit after suffering a stomachache. This gave Garou the momentum to catch Garou. YES! You could say that Saitama’s fart and sneeze were the true heroes in this chapter.

Saitama returns to Earth and defeats Garou. But he refuses the Hero Hunter. Garou then sees Tareo lying on the ground, lifeless, and realizes that this is the person he was trying to save. The Hero Hunter offers Saitama the chance to defeat the “Ominous Future.” He asks Saitama for his movements and it ends up sending Saitama back in time. Saitama went to the point in time when Genos and other heroes still lived, and Garou just received God’s power. Saitama is quick to strike and scores a devastating blow on Garou’s face in order to defeat him.

Saitama’s present and future bodies (or consciousnesses) merge into one. However, he doesn’t remember about time travel or his encounter with Garou on Jupiter’s moon. Although it’s difficult to understand the time-travel aspect of Saitama’s time travel, let’s just say that it created a new timeline. This new timeline shows that Saitama defeats Garou, before the Hero Hunter causes radiation to kill countless people.
