Background
Noelle was the heiress to the Lespinasse Household, being slightly older than her twin sister Lelia. Her parents organized her engagement to Leon Sara Rault as a child. However, Noelle didn’t know much about the proposal and never saw him again. The Rault Household, headed by Albergue and Leon’s murder, decimated the Lespinasse Household killing all its members, except Noelle, Lelia, and Noelle. Albergue did not blame them for their family’s sins, so the twins believed they had been forgotten. They adopted the name Beltre, and lived their lives under the protection of Clement, one of the knights of their house.
Noelle met Jean after she enrolled in the Academy. She discovered that Jean had a pet dog and a name, and they became close friends. Louise Sara Rault started bullying Noelle around the same time to stop others from targeting her.
Later, Noelle met Loic in town. They hung out for a while, but Noelle realized they were not compatible when Loic pulled down all the things she wanted. Loic, however, took an interest in Noelle, and with Lelia’s encouragement, started to follow her.
