As our beloved heist leader enters enemy territory, the final episode of EVER begins with chants of Professor outside the bank. The authorities have surrendered him to the bank. His heist team appears defeated. He is their main man. Before Tamayo arrests him, he immediately questions The Professor about the location of the gold. He then informs The Professor of the charges that they all face, one member at a. time. It is mental torture, especially when he has to face Lisbon, the woman he loves. He believes that one of them will reveal the location of the gold to him. Whoever tells him this will get a new life.

Sierra is trying to find the gold while The Professor makes the most famous poker hand in history.

Episode 10 travels to the Philippines two months after the first heist. It feels so far away. The death of his brother haunted the Professor. With many nights of sleepless nights, he became obsessed with the Bank of Spain Heist. Today, The Professor broadcasts a video via Palermo’s friends in Pakistan showing how they took the national reserve. Now, the country knows that they are in serious economic trouble. It’s a financial crisis. Tamayo tells The Prof and the Heist Team that the video failed because they had received cash injections from the European Bank.

Investors bet against Spain’s fall to cause the stock markets to crash and increase premium risks, effectively putting the country in bankruptcy. Only the heist team members can stop it. Flashbacks show that The Professor informs his team that they will return the gold. These plans shocked Denver. Denver was appalled by these plans. In the present, The Professor offers Denver the gold. Denver becomes increasingly angry and believes that the final plan is insane. Tamayo is aware that Denver is vulnerable, and interrogates him. Sierra and Tamayo discuss a plan, and they brainstorm — they believe that the gold will be buried close to a plot bought before the heist. Next, we will examine the land registry.

Tamayo gives Denver a new start. He receives a lifetime allowance and a retirement plan. It’s a new beginning. Tamayo is told by Denver that he doesn’t know where the golden is. Tamayo requests Denver to list the things Lisbon does not want him to tell them. Instead, Denver mocks Tamayo. He is taken away and smiles at the heist group on his way out, telling Stockholm that he loves him. To the cheers of his supporters, he leaves the bank. They cheer for him. Lisbon and The Professor are both held in their cell.

The last episode moves to Madrid five years earlier. Rafael questions The Professor about his plans for a heist. Berlin tells his son that his grandfather started robbery. Berlin and the Professor reminisce about their father and their last moments together. On the day that their father was killed, the Professor followed his father to the bank and saw him attempt a heist. He was then shot and killed. As a child, the Professor witnessed this unfold. Berlin and Rafael listen to him explain that it was like watching a movie, as his eyes grow wide. Rafael is then told by him that he intends to heist his father.

Angel believes that the gold was transported to trucks and can be traced. To make the authorities mad, they used decoy trucks as part of their plans. Tamayo is not the only one who is worried. The Central European Bank is also skeptical and is allowing Spain to collapse. Already, 14% has fallen on the stock markets. He is under increasing pressure to fix this mess. Tamayo immediately vents his anger at The Professor and starts to punch him when he’s tied up.

Tamayo is told by the Professor that he might be wrong about “what winning looks like”. He tells Tamayo to think about how to save banks and tells him that he only has one option — win or lose. The Professor then tells Tamayo that he doesn’t know where the golden is and neither does his family. He informs him that the gold is available and in motion. They are both small in the economic tsunami, according to Professor.

They have a quiet conversation after leaving Lisbon and The Professor alone in the cell. Libson informs The Professor that he doesn’t do heists to help his father or brother, he does them for himself. She knows the man behind the mask, who has an inferiority complex. She tells him to remove the mask and be the he really is. Lisbon suggests that they kiss passionately and then the pair slap each other.

Tamayo finally meets with The Professor to negotiate. Tamayo refuses to play games and threatens to execute his heist colleagues. He is told again by the Professor that either they both win or both lose. Tamayo, who claims that they have taken the gold from the trucks and offers trust and transparency to the media, is confronted by the Professor. He was instructed to make the statement. It’s now Tatiana versus Sierra, but Sierra calls Rafael. She has a note from The Professor for him.

The news reports say that trucks are laden with gold and that the debt crisis has been under control. Lisbon is told by the Professor that this is part of the plan. Not all secrets can be shared in bed. He believed that keeping this secret was essential. Palermo flashbacks to ask The Professor about his plan. He doesn’t believe he would give up the gold and surrender it. The Professor informs Palermo that he cannot reveal the last part and refers to gold as an illusion. It doesn’t mean anything, he says. It’s just a physiological backup. He revealed that the gold at the back of his truck is brass, which he said was a swap-for-gold for false gold.

Tamayo fumes to discover that gold is brass in the present. Tamayo orders the execution of the heist team. But The Professor informs Tamayo that it is over. Tamayo questions The Professor about why he is doing this, as if he were Robin Hood. The Professor turns to Lisbon and admits that he is a thief. Tamayo is told by Lisbon that it’s hilarious that one of the most powerful economies in the world will be supported with brass, another metallic element. The Professor then tells Tamayo that he will be a hero because he carries another state secret. It doesn’t matter.

This is where the audience realizes that Tamayo is the final piece of the puzzle. The Professor is aware that Tamayo is desperate to be a hero. He is desperate for this all to end. Since the beginning, he has not been able cope with the stress.

Tamayo doesn’t believe The Professor’s final plan. He counts down from 10 to find an answer. Or everyone will be executed. He is reminded by Lisbon and The Professor that this is his last chance. Tamayo is able to reach number one in his countdown, which causes tension. However, The Professor informs him that it is “checkmate” and the screen goes black. Gunshots can be heard.

Tamayo makes a statement to the media stating that the heist has ended. He announced that Bogota and Rio, Manila and Pamplona, Helsinki and Stockholm, Palermo and Lisbon were all killed in “final resistance.” The crowds are left grieving as body bags leave the bank. He announces that Denver will be placed under witness protection until the investigation is complete.

It seems that the Professor got into Tamayo’s heart with the most risky poker move in the series. The heist team zips their body bags. They are alive. They did it. They did it. He got what he desired. He was a hero. He was a hero. The vault is full of brass bricks, and the door closes. Rafael was moved by Sierra’s message. He believes he is honoring his father as he shares in his legacy.

The end

24 hours later, the episode is over. New passports are given to the heist team. Denver arrives and is reunited with Stockholm. Denver then admits to The Professor that it was almost over before he hugged him.

Although it wasn’t what they expected, the Professor says that they got something out of it. The rest of the heist team forms a circle. Sierra arrives and embraces Lisbon before shaking his hand. Sierra requests her new passport from The Professor.

As Sierra is driving away, the Professor questions Sierra about where the gold is. She tells him that it’s in Portugal in a small treasure-house. The scene switches to the truck that Tatiana and Rafael have built. All heist participants are given a new life and no more need to rob banks. They all get on a helicopter to fly to freedom. They all cheer and shake hands with the Professor.

This is a story we will never again see. It was a pleasure.
