Kizuna is a long-haired, brown-eyed girl with long brown hair that’s tied in pigtails.
Glass gave her a western Gothic and a haori top, which she primarily wears.
Her weapon is the Legendary Hunting Tool, which she received when she was summoned from another world. Her weapon, which is usually a folded fishing rod, is attached to her as a Hero. It can be transformed into a Maguro Bocho (Wei Bao Daing ? ) and used as a weapon in times of emergency.

BAKGROUND
Kizuna, like the other heroes is also from an alternate Japan. She is not a gamer but she joined a VR Healing MMO called Second Life with her sister. She woke up in the world Glass was from. She thought that the world was a game, and that all introductions were a tutorial. As she experienced a number of unexpected events, she realized that this was not a world she had been playing in.
She was on a quest for the Dragon Emperor of this world. Glass was also sent on the same quest to prove her worthiness as the Vassal Fan. They formed a strong friendship and Glass gave Kizuna one her most treasured cloaks. Along the way, she also made friends with L’Arc and Therese. They created a shikigami, Chris, which resembled a penguin. It was named because they were performing the ritual at Christmas. Because her weapon can only directly harm monsters, Chris was created to help Kizuna.
Kizuna built an enormous mansion with many rooms to be her home, so that several people could live with her. She was taken into custody and thrown into Labyrinth dimensions. She spent many years trying to escape.

Other Legendary Heroes (Glass’ World).
Kizuna was summoned to the front before the three heroes to confront the rogue dragon. She was hunting heroes. Before the heroes could summon the waves, she was sent to the dungeon. She was unaware of their existence.
She learned more about her comrades’ heroes and tried to convince them to join her in the fight against the waves. Kizuna was her only friend and she understood why other heroes were treating this as a game. She failed miserably in her efforts to persuade them to join her in fighting the waves. She tried to get their cooperation in many meetings, but they refused. She came to terms with the difficulties Naofumi faced in relation to his relationship and the summoned heroes.
Naofumi Iwatani
Kizuna met Rishia and Naofumi in the labyrinth. She was delighted to have them as her companions, having been alone there for many years. Naofumi was suspicious of her attempts to make friends with them. They shared their stories and came to better terms. Naofumi helped her escape the maze and unify with her friends. His business acumen and negotiation skills were astonishing to her.
Naofumi’s distrustfulness was a major concern for her and she asked him to not have much faith in other people. Both felt that research on ancient texts was flawed and had too many loopholes. They agreed to work together to save both worlds and parted on better terms.

Glass is Kizuna’s close friend and her first partner in Glass’s World. They fought against the waves together and joined forces to help other heroes. Glass gifted Kizuna a haori at one point. This was something Kizuna treasured, even after her long time in the Infinite Labyrinth. The haori was still with her until the day she escaped. Glass tried to save Kizuna when Kizuna was taken and put under the curse of slotsh. Kizuna suggested that Glass might rely too heavily on Kizuna under the curse of slotsh.

Although he is Kizuna’s friend, she doesn’t trust him completely and considers him a cunning businessman who seeks only profits.
Tsugumi
Tsugumi was saved by Kizuna, Naofumi and she now acts as Kizuna’s ambassador to repay Kizuna’s kindness. Kizuna loves spending time with Tsugumi, as her name reminds Kizuna her older sister Tsumugi.

Naofumi is looking for allies in another world and Kazayama Kizuna has finally provided them. She has many more secrets than she can tell.
Naofumi and Raphtalia, his companions, are now facing a new challenge. They discover that their levels have been reset and they are locked in a pocket realm. Naofumi is fortunate to have Kazayama Kizuna, another Cardinal Hero who can help him navigate.
Naofumi is unable to navigate the deserted island. However, his new ally Kizuna claims that she has been here for many years and that she knows her way around. She introduces herself to the Hunting Hero, armed with a fishing rod. This makes her strangely similar to Hunter x‘s Gon Freecss. Like Gon, the Hunting Hero is positive and can-do. He also has healthy respect for friendship which Naofumi requires in this difficult situation. Although he was familiar with the kingdom of Melromarc, it was not something he expected to see.
Naofumi, Kizuna and their knowledge and talents combine to help them find their way out of the island. Kizuna is a great help and takes Naofumi along to a temple where she shows him the “bug” hidden in the wall. A hole in the stone wall glows white energy. This hole is like a portal that characters cannot access, or an out of bounds in a game. Naofumi & Kizuna come up with a solution to the infinite labyrinth and attempt to break it through, but Naofumi doesn’t know much about Kizuna. She gives more information than she answers.
Kizuna has been a reliable and positive ally for Naofumi so far. Given the circumstances, Naofumi will need all the help he can get. However, Naofumi doesn’t know much about Kizuna and is apprehensive and confused about her identity. She has no knowledge about the Waves and is an ally to L’Arc Berg, the scythe hero, and Glass, the fan hero.
Kizuna tells Naofumi she is also one of the four Cardinal Heroes. Naofumi has to wonder how many sets there are of Cardinal Heroes in this expanding universe. Naofumi is well aware that Melromarc’s universe is not the only one, and L’Arc comes from another fantasy realm. Two groups of Cardinal Heroes were confirmed. The Seven Star Heroes was also mentioned by Mirellia Melromarc earlier in the series.
The world of Rising of theShield Hero is bursting with heroes sporting flashy weapons. Naofumi has trouble keeping track of them all. This world is so vast that Kizuna is a good example. Naofumi needs to be careful in selecting the right allies. Kizuna seems friendly at the moment, but this could change when she reunites to L’Arc or Glass. The possibility of a Cardinal Hero war is possible.

Volume 8
The BioPlant allowed them to create more mass in a smaller space than the world would allow. They were then thrown into the second world, the homeworld of Glass and her other heroes. They were able to escape by using the Dragon Hourglasses to reach the country Kizuna was allies with. With the assistance of Ethnobalt (the boat vassal weapons holder), Raphtalia, Glass, and Raph-chan, they found Raphtalia using the shikigami Chris, and Naofumi’s new shikigami Raph-chan. They found Filo, who had been captured, and they managed to rescue Raphtalia and Glass from the attack of Trash #2 (named by Naofumi). Trash #2 and Filo were captured by the white tiger spirit-beast copies. She used a skill to maximize the damage to their weak points, which allowed them to defeat them. Trash #2 died due to his ineptness and refusal to listen. They returned to L’Arc’s country, him being King. She criticized her friends for trying to kill heroes in Naofumi’s world. After that they had a welcome back party and prepared for the next mission to find Kyo and get the Spirit Tortoise’s collected energy back before Kyo does anything dangerous with it.
Etymology
Kizuna is a name that means “bonds and encumbrance, or fetters” (Ban). Kizuna’s surname Kazayama is “wind, breeze”, way, manner and blaster, sirocco method” (Feng) ( Kaza) as well “mountain hill” (Shan) ( Yama).
Trivia
Naofumi Iwatani once called Kizuna “Lolibabaa” (Loli old Hag), which refers to her appearance and age. Kizuna, like all heroes, is also an otaku. Like Glass, Kizuna was a reimported character in “Dimension Wave”, a novel Aneko Yusagi wrote. Kizuna uses ” ore” (An), a masculine form of the first-person pronoun “I”, to refer to herself.
