If we could bet on it, a Fall 2023 release would be most likely. The original season premiered in the Fall window. Animation studio MAPPA also worked on Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Attack on Titan and the upcoming Chainsaw Man. This is a hectic schedule for any studio. They would have enough time to produce a second season that meets their ridiculously high standards from October 2023.

Story of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, which chapters can it adapt?

The conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen’s first season was the Death Painting Arc. This ran from chapters 55-64. The anime will continue to adapt the manga in order of release. Next up is the Gojo’s Past Arc which covers chapters 65-79.

It revolves around Gojo’s past and a mission that Gojo and Geto were involved in escorting a Star Plasma Vessel from Tengen.

If this is the case, the second series might include flashbacks to Gojo’s history as well as setting up an important next arc: The Shibuya Incident (chapters 80-136). Don’t worry, we’re not going to spoiler territory. A post-credits scene sets the stage for future anime events. It centers around Yuta returning to Japan, and joining the main series. However, it is not known if he will appear in Jujutsu Kaisen episode 2.

It’s worth looking for in completionist terms. It fleshes out the world, the curse-heavy universe and makes for an engaging story. You can skip it if you have the time but we recommend you go look for it.

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga series continues in 2022. Volume 19 is the current volume. Gege Akutami published the most recent volume in Japan on April 4, 2022.

Five new manga volumes were released in 2021. The Jujutsu Kaisen Manga volume 20 release date will likely be July 2022. This year’s JJK manga volumes will be smaller.
