It is possible that other characters will start to doubt his involvement in the case. This could lead to a resolution being less likely to be found. ..

Production was handled in collaboration with Kadokawa Media under ENGI studios. The show had a total of twelve episodes, the show ran from July 4th to the 19th of September in 2021. The story centers around the outrageous mysteries from Our Protagonist Kimihiko Kimizuka with his legendary Detective team.

Kimizuka is always in a variety of bizarre, hysterical situations. One day the kidnapper was unidentified men who forced him onto an airplane. Prior to that the flight was hijacked, and this led him to be an assistant to a Detective.

After the incident, Kimizuka begins a adventure to stop an evil organization along with Siesta the detective. Season 1 included everything and was a great plot for characters that had plenty of mystery and drama. However, what is the status of The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 Here’s everything we know about it:

The First Plot

Kimizuka was forced onto an airplane by a group of unidentified men. While on the plane Kimizuka was greeted by Siesta. After the fight against Koumori the person who snatched the plane, Siesta asks Kimizuka to serve as her partner. Although he initially refuses following her persistent pleas and threatening intrusion into his home she finally convinced him to accept.

They set out together to defeat SPES the evil group which could ultimately destroy the human race. However, after three years of unsettling adventures the time they spent together is over when Siesta abruptly passes away. In a state of grief with the loss of his beloved and unable to get away from the memories of her. However, after a few years after his death, he is able to meet Natsunagi Nagisa, a high school student in search of a detective assist her in finding the person.

She was seeking the person who she was drawn to due to an organ transplant from an unidentified donor. Then, it’s discovered that the donor is indeed Siesta. In the end, the person she is looking for was Kimizuka himself. In accepting the fact of the situation, he was delighted and emotional when he was capable of meeting Siesta once more. Then, he became the sidekick of Natsunagi and they began on their way together.

The Detective Is Already Dead Ending and Review

Kimizuka and Nagisa Kimizuka and Nagisa meet Yui Saikawa, a popular national icon, and while working on their case, they run into their former adversaries SPES. Then it’s revealed that the SPES chief has an alien that is known by the name of Seed. The reason for Siesta’s demise was because it was her choice to end her life. The plan for her future is the right to be the inheritor of her will Nagisa’s soul. In summary this is a very good series that has a lot of plot twists and turns in the 12 episodes.

This Anime is a worthwhile watch if you enjoy stories of mystery and detective that feature Kawaii Girls. Of course, this show does not come without its faults which also affect its ratings among readers of light novels. The primary reason for this is the storyline when compared to light novels.

There are episodes where characters are presented with minor stories that aren’t important to the plot. However, overall, we should do not mind these changes, we can focus on its strengths like the Unique Detective story, a story in which a detective is gone, but her legacy lives on and is fulfilled by her sidekick.

What happened to Alicia?

Alicia was created as a character in a comic book and then turns out to be a kind-hearted girl who has lost her memory. Siesta and Kimizuka assist her in regaining her memory. Then it’s disclosed that Hel is one of the SPES members of SPES was an alter-ego for Alicia. It’s shocking to learn the reason for this, Siesta was a part of Hel after she was killed.

Her heart allowed her to control over the other and the battle was a stalemate that ended by Hel losing the fight indirectly. It is clear from the Season 1 Episode 11’s ending music theme that Alicia along with Siesta are part of Nagisa’s heart. We can also see an explanation for this during the 2nd season.

It’s going to be thrilling to watch Alicia reconnect and Kimihiko during the second series. The way they separated was heartbreaking. After many struggles it is likely that we will see her to assume Nagisa’s soul in order to speak to Him.

What can we expect from The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2?

The first season ended in Kimizuka as well as Siesta fight Chameleon together. Siesta recovered her soul away from Nagisa’s self. After the battle she handed over the control of her body back to Nagisa. Finally, the show is concluded by them having a discussion in a bar discussing their future plans.

In the final credits, we glimpse a flashback Siesta and Kimizuka in which she advises him to keep what the names of the girls who wakes him from rest. The girl’s name will eventually be Nagisa and it is the link that connects all of the season right from the beginning.

This could mean that there’s a backstory and a deeper relationship with Nagisa and Siesta that we’ll be able to witness in Season 2 and also some interesting romance between the two characters.

When Will The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 be released?

The fans are eagerly waiting long for the arrival of The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 since they still have a number of unanswered issues from the first season. However, the chance that Season 2 being released in 2022’s fall season or 2023’s winter season are slim. What date can we anticipate it? If we take into account the remaining novels to be changed. Season 1 concluded with adaptation of more than two volumes of light novels.

Through April 2022, six books of this light novel were published. The 7th volume is in the development phase according to the author. Therefore, the likely release date of The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 is 2023 spring. There’s a lot of story to be changed. We can also count on the animation studios not to make the same mistakes as they made in Season 1.

The Detective is Already Dead: Siesta wasn’t always the principal heroine

The plot of the anime TV show is inspired by the Tantei wa Mous, Shindeiru light novel series written by writer Nigoju and illustrator Umibozu.

The series was first launched in November of 2019 the series of books was up to Volume 5 at the time of May 2021. Volume 6 is scheduled to be released in November 2021.

The artist Mugio started publishing The Detective Is Already Dead manga adaptation in Monthly Comic Alive starting in May 2021. In July 2021, The TanMoshi manga was in Volume 3.

North American publisher Yen Press will release their English TanMoshi manga as well as light novel titles within the United States. The first volume of light novels has been released since June 2021. Volume 2 scheduled for release on October 26th 2021. Volume 1 of the English manga will be released on the 19th of October in 2021.

In the foreword to the light novel Volume 1 the author stated in the afterword that “nothing could make me happier than if you managed to enjoy it as an entertaining blend of genres.” In the beginning, the novels have an array of mysteries romance, romantic comedy action, even idols. But the plot expands in the later books.

In a interview in 2020, Nigoju said the idea for TanMoshi was conceived by Nigoju while walking for amusement and he conceived of the opening sentence: “Are there any detectives on board?” It is revealed that the creator had in mind Natsunagi, the protagonist in early drafts, and not Siesta.

“To be truthful, when I started writing my first novel I wasn’t sure Siesta was going to become so famous. Sure, I’m pleased that she gained a following but I did not write Siesta in such large way in the beginning. After I won the 15th MF Bunko J newcomer] award [in the year 2019] I went through a series sessions with my person who was in charge and we made a decision to concentrate on Siesta as a character, and her part was gradually expanded,” Nigoju explained. “At the time I wrote the application for the MF Bunko J writing contestand the writing contest], Kimizuka, Natsunagi, and Saikawa were the principal characters. Siesta was there only to encourage them.

The main protagonist Kimitsuka can be described as the “plot device” since the character allows the plot to be set in high school environments. The author further states that the character was created as an unreliable narration as only Siesta is the only one who knows what transpired in some instances.

The creator was not sure the exact cause of Siesta died in the first place. The editor in charge advised that the light novel Volume 2 should focus on the past. This made writing the continuation a struggle for the writer since originally, the plan was not to address the death of Siesta as swiftly.

“In an ordinary series, the next volume would follow the first volume, however, the person who was in charge suggested we create an ode to the past. Therefore, I needed to consider the past by starting from beginning to finish. When I was writing the proposal I didn’t know the motive behind the death of Siesta or what was going on with Kimizuka as well as Siesta during the time of their deaths,” the creator explained. “That was the major reason I was having difficulty with. I wasn’t convinced that Siesta was killed simply by [name withheld to avoid spoilers) However, when I first started my novel I was imagining in my own fantasies that I could write a short story on the past in volume 7 or Volume 7.5 or some time around. Then, I began to dig into the subject earlier than I anticipated.”

Volume 2 revealed the facts about the death of Siesta and Volume 3 added the possibility of a new problem. The plot concepts for Volume 2 were reused and revised when writing Volume 3.

The author also calculated how many books remain prior to when The Detective Is Already Dead is over.

“I am determined to complete TamMoshi in an satisfactory manner. My primary objective is to tell stories about Kimizuka and his companions until the end, regardless of the volume I’m allowed for publication,” Nigoju said. “But if I think about what I have to do in the story after this, I think I need at least five or six more books in my mind.”

If the author stays with this approach, it means that the final novel will be The Detective Is Already Dead Volume 8 or 9. With the speed at which new books are being released the conclusion could be out in 2023.

Naturally, plans can alter, particularly when a book series gains popularity. Therefore, we’ll be seeing new novels in the future.

The Detective Is Already Dead manga/light novel series is compared to the anime

When an anime adaptation is made of the light novel, it’s not a surprise that dialogue gets reduced and some minor events could be left out. In this instance the presentation by the anime of the story was quite different from the novels as the show rearranged events to be ordered chronologically.

For instance, in Episode 1, the festival of culture was a flashback to The light novel volume 2 Chapter 1. In the Anime news interview on the network with director the primary goal of this shift is to present Siesta and make her more fleshed out prior to the main plot twist was revealed in this one hour special.

“One of the reasons was because I wanted Siesta to leave a strong impression at the start,” director Kurihara explained. “The first episode wasn’t initially intended to be a double-feature which is why, if we were following the novel’s original story and the novel was a two-parter, Siesta would not have appeared at all. So, I altered the order of events this time.”

Although the changes to the direction make the most sense in theory but in practice, it’s likely that the emotional impact was reduced. The books do use many flashbacks to create the tension, which means that the anime will not completely change the order of things.

It is possible that the way in which events were presented the events was more interesting than the way in which the TanMoshi manga started at the beginning of Chapter 1. Instead of launching with the plane manga readers were presented with an unhappy and sad Kimizuka who was in the empty classroom , contemplating her death before Natsunagi came in.

The manga took three chapters to move from the school to facing Bat within the confines of the prison. The flashback to the plane didn’t start until near the end of Chapter 4. Idol Saikawa appeared in the middle of Chapter 9.This official chart of comparison tries to illustrate the differences between manga, light novel manga, and light novel.

In essence, the manga opens with anime Episode 2 which means that the intrigue build towards the plot twist was slower than. In addition the manga was spending more time with dialog and interactions between characters to build the characters up from the beginning.

A common complaint regarding the show is how boring and uninterested Kimizuka appears initially. Although the main character is the central character of the plot, there’s not a change in character and the character appears similar to the character both before and after Siesta.

Although some may try to blame the actor who voiced the character however the reality is that the novels better established the character’s character by showing how disillusioned and disillusioned he’s become due to the loss of the only who he called his family. A deeply wounded emotional person, Kimizuka is understandably cynical and disinterested about life in general, which is why she needs Natsunagi’s particular heart to inspire the change. The tone shift will be evident in the later episodes.

As for Natsunagi herself the actress has an inner struggle as she is feeling guilty or insecure over not living up Siesta’s legacy. She’s struggling with an identity crisis but isn’t aware of how this personal adversity affects her and if she’s being a substitute for Siesta instead of being her personal person. Although the early episodes show this conflict on screen in a way, it’s hard to convey these struggles without dialogues or narrative.

The director also stated that he had a goal to make the show more serious than the manga.

“The Detective Is Already Dead has its serious parts and comedic parts, but at its core it is closer to a serious story, so I was careful to restrain the over-the-top comedy elements such as exaggerated facial expressions and manga symbology,” He said.

Overall the season’s first finale, Tantei wa Mous, Shindeiru Episode 12 found an end point that corresponds to Volume 3.

It’s a challenge to come up with any good ending point because the light novels typically close with abrupt cliffhangers. The third volume was the most effective stopping point as it revealed the events that took place to Siesta and Volume 4 begins an ongoing conflict that could take several volumes to come to an appropriate solution.

The positive thing is by the time 2021, there should be enough material to start creating The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2.

The only downside is that only English-only readers of light novels will have be patient until their official translation catch on with the fourth volume to keep up with the anime. Manga is also a long way behind the anime , and because every month new chapters are released, it will take several years for the manga to get caught up.
