Fans of the Sound Ephonium anime series have been eagerly awaiting the release of the third season for months now. However, there is still no word on when it will be released. The first two seasons of Sound Ephonium were released in Japan in 2016 and 2017, respectively. However, there has been no word on when or if a release in America or Europe will happen. Fans have taken to social media to express their frustration with the lack of information on the release date. Some have even started a petition to try and get Bandai Namco Entertainment to release the season 3 on Blu-ray Disc or DVD. While we don’t know when or if Sound Ephonium Season 3 will be released, we can at least take comfort in knowing that it is being worked on and that fans are eager for more. ..


Kyoto Animation, a Japanese anime studio, announced plans in 2015 to adapt the novel series into an anime TV series. Season 1 of Sound! Euphonium was released on April 8, 2015. Season 1 was followed in 2015 by a series of special episodes and a summary movie. Season 2 premiered in October 2016. The second season was made into an anime movie in 2017.

A sequel was also announced. This sequel was not a series. It was a movie. This is everything you need to know.

Sound! Euphonium Season 3 Release date: When will it debut?

Sound! Euphonium season 2 was released on October 6, 2016, and ran until December 29, 2016. A number of special episodes were also made available starting December 21, 2016. One year later, a compilation movie called Hibike was released. Euphonium Movie 2 – Todoketai Music was released. A year later, a sequel to the movie was announced.

Season 2’s sequel, entitled, Hibike! On April 19, 2019, Euphonium Movie 3 was released: Chikai no Finale.

We have some good news for fans regarding the third season. Kyoto Animation announced Sound! Euphonium season 3 titles Hibike! Euphonium 3 has been renewed. It is actually in production. We believe Sound! The release of Euphonium season 3 may be in 2021.

Sound! Euphonium Plot:

Sound! Euphonium is about music. It focuses on high school students and their school bands.

The show begins when Kumiko Oumae, an euphonist, enters highschool. Kumiko Oumae, a gifted euphonist who has also been unable to play music in middle school due to an unfortunate incident, rekindles her love for music when she enrolls at high school. Kumiko is surrounded by talented, but chaotic musicians who are keen to form a high school brass band.

Along with her old friends, like hornist-turned-trombonist Shuuichi Tsukamoto and trumpeter Reina Kousaka, and new ones like novice tubist Hazuki Katou, veteran contrabassist Sapphire Kawashima, and band vice president and fellow euphonist Asuka Tanaka, Kumiko thus forms a band, hoping to compete in the national school band competition.

Kumiko quickly realizes that her bandmates can be chaotic and progress is slow. Kumiko begins to lose hope in her musical success. However, Noboru Taki, a new band advisor, gives her renewed hope and helps channel the band’s energy into a productive way.

Noboru’s hard work pays off and Kumiko and her fellow bandmates win the regional competition. They spend a lot of their summer vacation practicing with Noboru’s friends, who are professionals musicians, after their success. Trouble begins when a former member of the band voices interest in joining the band, which triggers painful memories among senior students. Kumiko learns more about Noboru and is shocked to learn about his motivations for leading the high school band in winning the national competition.

Kumiko Oluae

Kumiko, the main character of the show is a talented euphonist. She gave up her dream of becoming a musician after an unfortunate incident at middle school. After joining the Kitauji high school, she discovers that she is surrounded by talented musicians and decides to give music another chance. So, she enrolls in the high-school’s brass band and hopes to win the national high schools band competition one day.

Kumiko encounters many obstacles in her pursuit of music and has to balance band practice and studies. However, she never loses her determination to become a better musician and achieve musical glory. Kumiko is a person who can speak her mind and is open to listening to others. Kumiko is also known to be a flexible person who changes her mind quite often.

Reina Kuusaka

Another character in the show is Reina, who is a long-time acquaintance of Kumiko and had attended junior high together. Reina, the daughter of a professional musician and a skilled trumpeter, is heavily influenced her father. Reina is a stoic and takes great pride in her abilities as a trumpeter.

Reina believes playing the trumpet makes her stand out from others, and hates people who don’t try to be different from the rest. It is revealed later that Reina, Kumiko and their band won a junior high band competition, but had a falling-out, which led Kumiko to quit music.

Asuka Taka

Asuka is the final main character of the show. She is older than Reina and Kumiko, and vice president of high school brass band. Asuka, who is distinguished by her red-rimmed glasses and euphonium playing ability, is also a distinguishable character. She is quite confrontational which makes her unpopular. Asuka’s mother abuses her and forces her to quit high school brass band.

Hibike! The return of Kyoto Animation’s Sound to Euphonium Festival was announced Saturday morning! Euphonium anime. Sound Euphonium Season 3 will focus on Kumiko’s third high school year and air in 2024. The “Ensemble Concert” anime arc will also get a medium-length anime next year.

The animated for Ensemble Concert will be available on Blu-ray Disc as well as a theatrical release. Progressive, the story’s band, is represented by the company. Wind Orchestra will be performing summer concerts in Tokyo’s Line Cube, Shibuya on August 13th and 14. It is not yet known if the concert will be streamed live.

In April 2015, the first 13 episodes of the sound Euphonium anime were aired. The anime’s music and art style were praised by many as being one of the biggest hitters for that season. Crunchyroll streamed and Ponycan released the anime on home video. Hibiki was inspired by the anime’s popularity.

Euphonium Movie 1 in April 2016. Sound! Season 2! The second season of Sound! premiered October 2016. The series was distributed in western countries by the same distributor, voice actor, and studio. The series was followed in September 2017 by another compilation film.

The Sound Euphonium anime’s third season has yet to be released. It is currently set for 2023.
