They can easily produce two more seasons with the remaining volumes. The studio can make three more installments if they improve the pacing in the next seasons.

Season 1 was adapted to volume 8. Season 2 will start with volume 9. Setsu, after his defeat to Soichi Tanuma in the Matsugoro Cup becomes more determined to quit high school and realizes his dreams as a shamisen-player. As he steps onto the folk song bar Take no Hana, a new stage is opened with new friends. Setsu is still struggling to find his sound and has difficulty adapting to the songs of other players. Setsu is then joined by Take no Hana, a shamisen player who once competed with him. Setsu will be able overcome his doubts, and the trials that lie ahead.
