Netflix’s August 2021 renewal for Manifest was a dramatic turnaround. NBC initially declined to renew the series. However, both were forced to reconsider their decision after the addition Manifest to Netflix broke all streaming records in the United States.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, creator Jeff Rake stated that there is something meta about the show’s death and rebirth. The show’s “manifest” of characters is what he’s referring too. All of them were assumed dead years ago before they arrived in New York City. The show follows Roxburgh and her brother Roxburgh as they try to find the truth about what happened.
Manifest before Season 4
The third season begins in the wake of the discovery and investigation of the tailfin. Vance and Ben are tasked with finding the mysterious and integral part of the plane that has changed their lives. As the stakes get higher, the rules and mythology of the plane expand.
It’s not clear who will make it to manifest season 4 and who is now an enemy to lifeboat. This is the ending of season 3, with no surprises (pun intended).
Questions to Answer in Manifest Season 4
Is Angelina a murderer of Grace in Manifest season 3
The third season’s second half saw Angelina (Holly Taylor), who appeared innocent, take a dangerous turn. The Stones were able to accept the lost passenger because she had no place to go or family to call. She soon took advantage of their kindness.
Angelina begins to borrow Olive’s clothes and dyes her hair darker than Olive’s to make her believe that Eden is her “guardian angel.” Grace then kicks Angelina out after she starts a fire in Eden’s room. Angelina becomes disillusioned by 828 passengers Adrian, Eagan and further threatens the lifeboat.
Angelina, following bad advice from Adrian returns to Stone House to retrieve her guardian angel. Olive is locked in her basement and she kidnaps Eden. Grace appears to be fatally stabbed in the process. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for a twist! Grace’s last breath occurs during Cal’s reunion.
What is Cal’s age now, in Manifest season 3
Grace and Cal’s sad reunion is not without its endless barrage of questions. Cal disappeared into thin air after touching the tailfin at Eureka. Ben and Saanvi thought that returning the tailfin back to the ocean would bring Cal back, but it simply disappears underwater.
Although Ben and Saanvi don’t know about Cal’s return, they do learn that he mysteriously returns to the Stone house at episode’s end. As his mother dies, he grabs his dragon out of his closet and places it under her head. We finally see Cal through Grace’s eyes. He is clearly much older than we were last time we saw him.
We don’t know anything about Cal or his past, nor whereabouts he went. Nor do we know why he has aged so long. Is he the same age as Olive? Is he conscious of the passing of time? Is that what brought him back? Is he actually aware of what must happen? So. Many. Questions!
What happens to the plane during Manifest season 3
Do not think manifest would leave us with Grace’s passing and Cal’s return. It is a season. Season 3 ends with a bang at Eureka. Dr. Gupta is leaving the facility when she sees Captain Daly in the cockpit of the put-together plane.
Dr. Gupta sees him again, but he disappears as soon as he appears. Although the captain was presumed dead in the past, you cannot predict what will happen to them on Manifest. His latest disappearance is, evidently, puzzling.

MANIFEST SEASON 4 RELEASED DATE
Season 4 of Manifest is expected to be released in the fall 2022. Some fans speculate that it could be released on 8/28/2022 to honor Flight 828, one year after the show’s “saved.” Deadline stated in June that it will be released “this fall.”
WHAT CAN HAPPEN IN MANIFEST SEASON 4?
To reach a fitting end, Creator Rake will need to squeeze 20 episodes from his three seasons of planned plot 20 episodes. Part One and Part Two will be split Lucifer style. He stated that the endgame would not change. “I’m absolutely certain that 20 episodes will give me enough time to tell all the stories as I intended.”
This is Netflix’s official description for the season. It was based on Deadline. “After a difficult but routine flight, Montego Air Flight 828 safely landed. The crew and passengers felt relieved. In just a few hours, the world had changed by five years. Their families, friends, and coworkers had lost their loved ones and had moved on. They are now all given another chance, even though they face the impossible. As their new realities are revealed, however, some passengers return to realize that they might be meant for more than they thought. This emotional rich, unexpected adventure takes them into a world of hope, heart and destiny.
Which…tells us very few things that fans don’t already know. In an interview with Netflix Life, Josh Dallas, the actor who plays Ben, said that there would be a two-year time jump. “We start the next season two year from where we finished season 3. Dallas said that we have moved forward in time. Dallas added that he sometimes thinks–and I haven’t gotten there yet–that he could become the agent of the apocalypse and the downfall for all of this because he is so persistent…The first part is not going to easy.”

THE CAST ‘MANIFEST’ Season 4
According to Deadline, the cast was no longer contractually bound after June 2021. The renewal was successful and most cast members signed on in September. Except for one character who died at season’s end, and one character who…unexpectedly grew older (no spoilers). It’s worth noting, however, that the character has been seen in behind-the scenes filming shots. Daryl Edwards, Vance’s character, was also promoted to series regular status.
The character that unexpectedly grew up is being replaced by the older actor, who was last seen at the end season three. This is a shame as the two actors who haven’t returned were crucial to the success of manifest. According to Andreeva, the rest of the cast will be receiving “significant pay increases” for season 4. According to Netflix, the budget for each episode has been significantly increased from $1 million to $4 million to $5 million.
According to Netflix, there will be a few new characters in season four. But they are minor ones. We will meet Kyle Boyd who was a flight 828 passenger, along with the other key characters we love and know; Henry Kim who was also a Flight 828 passenger and was detailed in Singapore on his return; and two additional characters, Tela and June, whose backstories are less well-known. A couple of smaller characters will also be on the show, Captain Kevin Fahey and Detective Price. According to a tweet from the RenewManifest account, Season 4 will also feature “the Eden twins.” However, little information is available about their roles.
