As the popular anime series Kingdom Hearts comes to a close, fans are eagerly waiting for the next season to be released. However, there is no telling when this will happen. Some sources say that the next season may not be released until 2019, while others claim that it could even be released in 2020. So what does this mean for Kingdom Hearts fans? Well, it means that there is a lot of suspense and anticipation going on as to when the next season will be released. But in the meantime, we can just enjoy the last few seasons of Kingdom Hearts without any worry about when it might come out.
Funimation Entertainment was granted the rights to publish the anime in English. From April 6, 2020 through October 18, 20,21, the show will be back for a third series. The anime production committee was forced to postpone Episode 5, and the subsequent episodes, indefinitely on April 26, 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to an October 5, 2020 announcement, Episodes 5 through 2021 will be broadcast again. The end of the third season’s last episode saw the announcement of a fourth season. It premiered on April 10, 2022. The story takes place in China during the Warring States period in 245 B.C. Shin, a servant fights for Qin.
Kingdom is one of the few anime that caters to historical action-fiction. The Kingdom tells us about the Chinese period which is one the most important periods in Chinese history. It’s why fans expected Kingdom Season 5 Release Date.
Kingdom Season 5 Release Date
Kingdom Season 5 will be released on the upcoming release date. Many Kingdom fans are thrilled to hear this. The Kingdom Season 5 premiere date has not been officially announced by NHK TV or Studio Signpost as of the last update. For the spring 2022 anime season, the Kingdom 4 anime has been confirmed.
Monsters & Critics correctly predicted Kingdom Season 4 would take a significantly shorter turnaround time. This was due to the fact that the anime was now catching up with the manga series, which was a significant part of the 6 year gap between Kingdom seasons 2 & 3. When Season 2 was over, the manga was still at Chapter 336 in Volume 31.
Animation productions can take many years to plan and staff, including numerous contractors, must be booked in advance. Kingdom Season 4’s manga was published well ahead of schedule. Kingdom 4 could therefore be released in 2022. Studio Signpost may have already organized it. Kingdom Season 5 could be out soon, considering that the manga has hundreds of chapters more than the anime.
Kingdom Season 5 Story
The plot of the Kingdom is inspired by China’s history of warring states. The manga of the same name is the inspiration for the anime Kingdom. Yosuhisa Hara authored and drew this book. The Kingdom is a historical anime about a young orphan called Xin. Xin lost his family in the conflict and now he wants to be the Great General of China’s warring states. His goal is to promote peace in these countries and unification. This anime will tell us about Xin’s quest to achieve his dreams. There is not much information about the fifth season.

Ei Sei: Ei Sei, the king in Qin, looks very much like Shin’s friend Hyou. Although his father was a former King, his mother wasn’t a royal descendant.
These are the main characters of the show.

Is Kingdom Season 5 due to be released in a short time?
Studio Signpost, NHK TV or any other company involved in the production of the anime have not confirmed the Kingdom Season 5 release date as of the last update. It has been confirmed that Kingdom 4 anime will be released on April 9, 2022. This is the spring 2022 anime season.
Monsters and Critics correctly predicted that Kingdom Season 4’s turnaround time would be shorter. The manga and anime were catching up, which was why there was a 6-year wait between Kingdom Seasons 2 and 3. The manga was still at Chapter 336 in Volume 31 when Season 2 aired.
Animation productions require years of planning. Studios, staff (which include many contractors) and voice actors need to be booked in advance.
Kingdom Season 4 is a manga that’s a long way ahead of the anime. Kingdom 4 could be out in 2022, and Studio Signpost could have been scheduled for release in 2022. It’s possible that Kingdom Season 5 will be a shorter wait, considering that the manga is hundreds of chapters ahead than the anime.
Comparison Kingdom manga to anime
The anime series’ story is inspired by the Kingdom manga by YasuhisaHara, writer and artist. The manga series has been serialized in Weekly Young Jump magazine from 2006 and is currently up to Volume 64 as at February 18, 2022.
Shueisha’s website states that Volume 64 includes Chapter 701. There have been four new manga volumes per year in the past (with only three volumes being released in 2021).
A North American publisher has yet to announce an English translation of the Kingdom manga series.
It is unlikely that the Kingdom manga will be ending soon. Da Vinci magazine interviewed the manga creator in 2015. He stated that he wanted to convey the idea of humanity repeating war, while expressing a desire to see peace.
Hara stated that he would need to finish Kingdom Volume 100 in order to achieve this goal. For anime-only viewers, this goal could mean there could be 8-10 anime seasons total. Therefore, we can expect Kingdom Season 5, 6 and so forth in the future.
The Kingdom manga series also inspired a Kingdom videogame for Android and iPhone. FUNimation also released a live-action Kingdom movie in 2019 for the United States and Canada.
The third season of the anime adaptation has been a success with anime fans. Some anime fans were critical of the use of excessive 3D CGI animation in the first two seasons.
Studio Signpost used CGI for the third season. However, it wasn’t too bad. When the camera zoomed in to show whole armies, 3D characters were used. However, when the camera gets closer to the action, battle scenes were drawn using 2D animation.
The anime adaptation of the manga first 173 chapters was covered in the first season with 38 episodes. The pace of the second season was slower, with 78 chapters being adapted and 39 episodes.
The second season’s finale skimmed six chapters of a mini-arc ending with Chapter 260. Summary: Shin (Li Xin, in Chinese) is a strategist but suffers many losses. After she had attended a military school and began winning again, Ri Boku allowed Ka Ryo Ten (He Liao Diao) to rejoin his unit.
Kyou Kai (Qiang Lei, in Chinese) left to find a clan member who had killed her sister. This was an important detail that was missed. This isn’t a big deal, since Kyou Kai was MIA during the Coalition Invasion storyline. However, the third season adapted her story arc.
The Kingdom Season 4 anime will begin right after her story arc. (See the spoilers section below).
The story was re-told in the third season with Chapter 261, Episode 1 being named after Chapter 261 and Episode 261 respectively. The third season adapts both the Coalition Invasion storyarc and Kyou Kai’s Revenge. This means that the third season covers Chapters 261 to 364, or 103 chapters.
The adaptation of 103 chapters meant that the third season would have three courses again. Otherwise, condensing too much of the story would cause pacing issues.
The Kingdom Season 4 anime will continue the story with Chapter 365 from Volume 34. The question is how Kingdom Season 4 will adapt each of the story arcs.
Studio Signpost’s writers could speed up the pace by adapting the four story stories that run from Chapters 366 to 485. The State of Ai story arc runs from Chapter 402 to 437. It doesn’t make sense as it focuses mainly on the Queen Mother creating the new state of Ai. The Koku You Campaign arc would be a better choice. It would have multiple character arcs, and also end on a high note by featuring a battle scene.
This is a good stopping point. After that, we can move on to the Western Zhao Invasion story arc. It’s the longest story arc in the manga series. It’s best to adapt that story arc with Kingdom Season 5 anime, as it is 147 chapters long.
However, this option would mean that Kingdom Season 4 would adapt 131 chapters. The pace was still much faster than in the first season. One alternative is to divide the five arcs of Kingdom Season 4/5 and leave the Western Zhao Invasion section for Kingdom Season 6.
Kingdom Season 4 & 5 plot summary (spoilers)
Our heroes saved Qin from being annihilated by the invasion of the coalition army when we last saw the Kingdom anime. Shin was rewarded for his efforts with a promotion as a 3,000-man commander.
To deal with the pillagers who had seized Qin’s border towns, Hi Shin was sent. Kyou Kai wanted revenge on Yuu Ren who was responsible for Kyou Kai’s death.
Kyou Kai was there to meet Kyou Mei who is a spy for Zhao. Mei had been following enemy movements and was able point Kai in the right direction.
Kyou Kai was able to find her nemesis but she was attacked and surrounded by Yuu clan warriors. Kyou Kai can defeat these warriors but Yuu Ren is an entirely different story. Kyou Kai is forced to break taboos to defeat the other woman.
Kyou Kai defeats Yuu Ren and asks Mei for Ren’s body. Mei will then inform everyone that Kai has been killed. Kai wanted to stop the next ritualistic massacre against young girls. He spread the rumor Ren was alive and hiding.
Kyou Kai then returns to Hi Shin to re-join the unit. There, she shares her ambition to be a great general of Qin. She also reveals that she plans to have children with Shin!
Although Ei Sei (Yin Zheng), was crowned king at the age of 13, he is not officially crowned king until he turns 22. As the ceremony draws near, Chancellor Ryo fui (Lu Buwei), plots to trap Ei Sei in a new conflict by organizing a small-scale invasion of Zhao.
Ryo Fui suggests that the king lead the defending army into combat, but then Prince Seikyou (Cheng Jiao), volunteers to take over the military. The Zhao invaders are defeated by the prince at Tonyruu, but Ryo Fui’s conspirators capture and imprison him.
Although the conspirators rumored that the prince had started a rebellion against his king, Ei Sei did not believe them. Instead, Shin was promoted by the king again along with 5,000 men. They were sent on a secret mission in order to rescue the prince.
Shin is unable to reach the prince in time, so Shin has to leave. Shin was asked by Sei Kyou to save his family and lead his remaining faction to King Ei Sei’s service.
Qin General Tou leads a campaign to capture the Chiyoyou area of Wei. Shin’s unit is called to action and Qin’s forces face the three remaining great generals from Wei’s Seven Fire Dragons. Shin secretly dispatches Kyou Kai as an assassin to the Wei headquarters.
Qin began building a fortress to protect Wei two months after taking control of Wei’s Chiyoyou area. Shin’s unit defends the workers.
This is when politics and intrigue start between the Qin factions. The Queen declares that she has had two children with Rou Ai, and plans to create her own state of Ai.
The coronation and coming of age ceremonies for Ei Sei are fast approaching. Although celebrating the new year is a great idea, many people recognize that it would be a good time to take action at the coronation of the king.
