Release date for Saihate no Paladin Season 2
Studio Children’s Playground Entertainment and any other company involved in the production of The Faraway Paladin Season 2 have not confirmed the release date as of the last update. The production of The Faraway Paladin 2 was announced on December 25, 2021.
This article will be updated once the news has been confirmed.
It’s possible to speculate as to when Saihate no Paladin Season 2 will be released.
Faraway Paladin ratings were slightly higher than average for an anime TV series. This is an adaptation of Mushoku Tei . It is similar to Mushoku Tei . The opening episodes have maintained an atmosphere that is mystery-filled and suspenseful, despite the fact that it covers the typical ground of an otaku who reincarnates in another world and learns magic. The first three episodes were well received by anime audiences and it is possible that the ranking could rise over time.
The first season’s debut did not provide a significant boost in manga and light novels sales in Japan. Volumes did not reach Oricon’s top 30 manga lists or top 10 light novels lists for the first few weeks of October 2021. Comparatively, critically-acclaimed series such as 86-8-Six reached the top 10 novels charts, Tokyo Revengers dominated manga charts during Summer 2021 and even all five volumes from The Detective is Already Dead made it onto the top twenty charts.
Streaming revenue is a key factor in ensuring that an anime sequel can be renewed. Crunchyroll’s most popular anime list consistently listed the first season, even though it was often only in the top 20. It remains a dark horse when it comes to popularity. This can be attributed to the crowded market for isekai anime.
The anime adaptation is a good one and should be commended to the animation production committee for having The Faraway Paladin Season 2 renewed.
It’s possible that they planned the second season , considering the announcement was made before the finale of the first season.
It is possible that The Faraway Paladin Season 2 could be released in 2023.
Mushoku Tensei inspired the Faraway Paladin novels
Based on the Saihate no Paladin light novels series by Kanata Yanagino, and Kususaga Rin, the story for the anime TV series is inspired. The Faraway Paladin is translated into English and known as Paladin of the End, or Ultimate Paladin.
The author spoke out about the creation of the series in an interview with Anime Network. Kanata was inspired by a friend to submit a novel for a contest for newcomer writers.
Kanata hadn’t written a novel before. The writer decided not to rush into a contest and instead self-published The Faraway Paladin’s story in May 2015. It was a webnovel published on the “Shosetsuka ni Nao” (Let’s Become Authors) website.
Kanata claims he chose the site because he loves Mushoku Tensei. However, this practice unexpectedly rose in popularity and attracted the attention of publishers. Before Kanata could reach his goal of entering a writing contest, he had already become a professional.
According to the writer, he deliberately chose a smaller theme because he wanted to create only one book. Mushouku Tensei, a fan of the theme family, was the inspiration behind the choice of the theme.
“Living a second time, loving one’s family–I thought that it was a great theme. The writer said that plagiarism was a bad idea. “So, I took only inspiration from the theme and wrote a story entirely in my own way. This was The Faraway Paladin’s beginning. This was my beginning point.
According to the writer, his love for tabletop RPGs such as Sword World and Dungeons & Dragons was another inspiration. He didn’t think about the character’s stats or abilities, nor the power of the enemies they face. The focus was on “imagining” a world that had a similar feel.
Also, the creator revealed that he decided to keep the focus on Will and not introduce heroines because of positive comments from readers about the difference between other isekai stories.
Kanata stated, “And when I looked through the comments of the readers and wrote whatever I wanted to write, I realized that they appreciated the lackluster emphasis on the heroines.” “If they were happy with what I wrote, then that is all I care about.”
The original intention of the story was to be practice. “It was originally meant to end at Episode 5” which is when Will left home to honor his family and change his name. The unexpected success of the story threw him off his feet, but the author continued to update the web novel.
The web novel is divided into five “Chapters”, and two side stories. The last update was in 2017, leaving the fifth story, The Goddess of the Twilight Country unfinished.

After a long hiatus, the Faraway Paladin Volume 5 has resumed work
The light novel adaptation was published by Japanese publisher Overlap Bunko in March 2016. Although the light novel adaptation expanded upon the web novel’s premise with some modifications, the story has not kept up with the web book.
The Faraway Paladin Volume 4 was published in September 2017. The third story arc, The Lord of the Rust Mountains technically has two volumes because it is divided into two parts. Although the Faraway Paladin Volume 5 release date is not yet known, the author said that the fifth volume was being worked on.
Kanata stated in December 2021, that he had mental health issues and that he was taking a long break from writing.
He explained that he had an adjustment disorder which restricted my writing ability and required him to take a break. It was terrible. Even though I wanted to write, it would overwhelm me with anxiety and fear that made it impossible for me to do so. My days would feel like I was in mud. Even today, I see the doctor to get anti-anxiety medication. It’s still a long road to regain my writing speed.
Note that the following paragraph contains minor spoilers regarding the plot of Saihate no Paladin Vol 5.
According to the author, The Faraway Paladin Volume 5 will be the story of Will’s adventure to Twilight Country, where he meets Stagnate, God of Undeath. It will tell the story of how the first hero died and how Will confronts the ideals set by Stagnate.
The author joined forces with Mutsumi Okuhashi, an artist, to create The Faraway Paladin manga. This likely slowed down progress on the light novel. The manga series has been serialized on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website from September 2017 to September 25, 2021.
North American publisher J-Novel Club will handle the release of The Faraway Paladin’s English translation for the USA and Canada. Volume 4 was already complete in 2018.
J-Novel Club did not license the English The Faraway Paladin manga until 2021, so the first manga volume was only printed in paper on August 17, 2021. The digital edition has manga Volume 6 as of September 1, 2020. When the anime’s first season premiered in October 2021, the light novel series was only up to Volume 4, but The Faraway Paladin Volume 5 is in the works. Pic credit: Kususaga Rin
Comparing the Faraway Paladin manga/light-novel series to the anime
It was almost a relief that an isekai anime featured a protagonist who wasn’t a self-insert potatoeskin on a harem gathering trip to fulfill his degenerate wishes. You might also like:New Yakitate! Japan manga currently in production

The anime created a sense of mystery and intrigue through their animations. Episode 1 however, skimmed over the exposition and inner monologues and quickly ran the prologue and first chapters of light novel Volume 1 and the manga’s first three chapters. This is not surprising considering that anime adaptations tend to compress the dialogue to fit the story into a TV-episodic format.
Episodes 2 & 3 maintained the same pacing, adapting one chapter per episode. The biggest change was in the order of events. Will and Blood got drunk and went to Mary’s room. This was an episode that was originally published in manga and light novels. Even though the anime adapted the scene in which Will experiences puberty, the scene felt more grounded in reality than Mushoku Tensei and The World’s Finest Assassin. It’s predicted that The Faraway Paladin Season 2 anime TV series will pick up the story again in light novel Volume 3. Pic credit: Kususaga Rin
The Faraway Paladin Episode 12 finale of the first season was a stop point that corresponded to the end of Volume 2: The Archer of Beast Woods, and Volume 6 of manga.
It is the most important stopping point since Will found humanity. Will was knighted and has now been awarded the title Faraway Paladin after defeating the Beast Woods chimera.
The Lord of the Rust Mountains, the third story arc is too long for the second season because it’s two books in length. Volume 4: The Torch Port Ensemble continues the story of Will’s winter in the Rust Mountains.
The good news? There is plenty of material available to make The Faraway Paladin Season 2. If you want to jump ahead of the anime, English-only readers can skip to manga Chapter 31 or volume 3 light novel.
Spoilers for The Faraway Paladin Season 2 (plot summary/synopsis).
It has been a while since Will became Faraway Paladin. It’s been a while since Will became the Faraway Paladin.
But, the order in this distant land is not restored completely. Strange things are occurring, such as plants dying out of season or blooming in odd places. Duke Ethel asked Will and Menel to investigate. They didn’t know that their adventure would take them to the Rust Mountain, former capital of the Dwarves, and home to magical beasts.
According to the dire prophecy of King of Forest, there is about to be a fire of plague in the Rust Mountain. Will visited Grendir, a former guard of the Dwarven, to learn more about the land. Grendir was a survivor of the Great War two centuries ago.
Grendir informs them about the events of the Land of the Iron Dwarf. It was the story about those who fought alongside Lord Aurvangr (the last Iron Country ruler) and those who followed his orders to ensure that a remnant of survivors survived.
The Demons sent an ambassador to Lord Aurvangr during the Great War. He claimed that the demon army would be spared the dwarves if they forge weapons for them. The king executed the emissary, and stated that the demon leader could possess the weapons the dwarves would use against the demons.
The Dwarves had to flee the Iron Mountains in the face of overwhelming odds. The Iron Country King sent his most skilled warriors on a suicide mission to lure the enemy into the underground passages of their country. This was in order to allow the refugees time to flee.
