Interview with Kazuto Nakazawa, Director: How was the Fena: Pirate Princess anime series different?

Director Nakazawa said that the team went to Dubrovnik, Croatia, Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland to get a feel for how the anime looks and feels. The director revealed that his love for shoujo manga inspired Fena Houtman’s character design during the Annecy Film Festival.

According to Otaquest, Nakazawa said that Japan has shounen (for boys and girls) and shojo manga (for guys and girls). Shoujo manga was what got me interested in manga and other stuff. I first read it when I was young, and that made me realize how great manga can be. I read manga from the late 70s through the early 80s. I also used one of the heroines of shoujo manga as inspiration for Fena.

The hardest part of getting greenlit was creating a story. The director confessed that he had no choice but to think like a pirate to get the money.

“When it comes down to shoujo manga or original ideas, it can sometimes be very difficult to obtain funding. This was why I was concerned. So I lied to them, telling them that the idea was basically Mad Max at sea.” “They released the funding.”

ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement), is used in animation. This allows voice actors to match their lines with the animated scenes. Instead, the director let the voice actors perform as they pleased and then matched the animation to their audio performance.

The director stated that although the process was difficult, it made him realize how amazing the actors are when there were no limitations.

Kaizoku Oujo Season 2 Discussion

Kaizoku Oujo Season 2 Release Date Predictions: Renewal possible since the story allows.

Crunchyroll and Adult Swim have not confirmed the Fena Season 2 release dates as of the last update. The production of the Fena: Pirate Princess sequel has not been confirmed.

This article will be updated once the news has been confirmed.

It’s possible to speculate as to when or if the Fena Pirate Princess Season 2 release date is.

Reviews for The Fena: Pirate Princess have been positive with scores that are above average. The first season was full of mysteries that kept viewers interested. Rui Kuroki, Fena’s anime producer, is well-known for overseeing anime projects that have been renewed for sequels. The Psycho-Pass, Kuroko no Basket and Netflix’s B: The Beginning anime series are just a few examples.

The streaming revenue is likely to be solid, as Fena made it onto Crunchyroll’s popular anime list.

Warning! The following contains major spoilers to the end of Fena: Pirate Princess Episode 12

The problem is that the original story is not based upon a Fena Pirate Princess manga or light-novel series. The first season resolved the main conflict by being a standalone story. The first season left enough plot threads unfinished to allow for a Fena second installment.

The ending of Episode 11 revealed only the machinations and indiscretions of the Observer Cody regarding Fena’s “Father”, Franz Houtman. Rumble Rose’s crew is back, and it’s just waiting to be further developed by a spinoff or second season.

Fena and her Goblin Knights will be retracing the steps of their adventure to recover her memories. Although Kei, Fena’s deadly brother, was expected to return personally to retrieve her memories, that plot thread was easily explained (for now). The actions of the Goblin Knights could be seen as treason on Goblin Island. These plot threads can be used as a jumping off point for a new main conflict in season 2.

Fena’s deaths or lack thereof could be a clue to the future direction of the anime series. While the crew of the Rumble Rose was (supposedly) blown to pieces only to be resurrected at the ending the series hasn’t killed off any major characters except for the death of twisted-yet-sympathetic villain Abel Bluefield and his soldiers.

Some viewers may be tempted to tune out of the show because Abel’s tragic death is a happy ending. Abel might have been grieving and trying to find Helena, after she had been sexually assaulted by king, but even he acknowledged that his bloodsoaked hands weren’t worthy of him accepting his love. Abel killed all those in his path and also mistreated Fena, his half-sister. Yet, he is able to enjoy a wonderfully animated state where his blood turns into rose petals and finds comfort in the arms of his lover before being taken to heaven.

Fena Episode 12 saw Yukimaru die, but it is not clear if the TV series wrapped things up in a cohesive fashion. Fena Episode 12, which addressed the main mystery surrounding Fena’s identity and Eden, had Cody the Observer reveal that she was the Maiden Of Choosing, who could wipe the Earth clean once again in a manner similar to Noah’s ark.

The finale was a Evangelion ending pulled out of the hat, with a less than graceful story development and no proper foreshadowing. Although Cody’s story seemed more complicated than it was initially revealed, audiences were aware that Fena’s descent from the King’s bloodline to Pucelle was part of a prophecy. However, there was no hint or development that Fena could hold the fate of the whole world in her hands.
