But I think the conflict lies in Mikasa’s expression of her love for Eren. Due to her traumatizing past, it seems that violence is the only way she can express her love for Eren. He died to save her. She must do the same.
This deep love is evident in Eren’s family’s saving her life and raising her. Carla feels obliged to follow Carla’s wishes. Mikasa views it as a way to repay a lifetime’s debt. Eren, however, sees it as an incessant effort to undermine him. He decides to prove to the world that he can defeat the titans by himself.
The episode of season 2 sees Eren and Mikasa witnessing the death their mentor, Mr. Hannes. Eren, who is in tears, begins to blame himself for all the deaths of their loved ones. It is clear that Eren is obsessed with vengeance. One can see how his trauma has affected him. I think he chose to stay focused on this goal. This may be misinterpreted by Eren as unrequited affection. However, I believe there will be a time in the next season when Eren must make a choice between the things that he loves.
Every story will have a protagonist who must make difficult choices. These choices will have consequences that affect the arch of the character. Mikasa’s arch and Eren’s arch are both affected by this choice. Eren can choose to move closer or further away from Mikasa.
It is difficult to imagine Mikasa as a damsel. Because the audience is conditioned to believe Mikasa can be stopped, it’s similar to Annie Leonhart and Captain Levi. Mikasa has shown herself to be physically strong on numerous occasions, including surviving Wall Rose’s attack with an empty gas canister and defeating the Armored Titan. This does not mean that Mikasa is no longer a mortal, fighting against stronger enemies. There will never be a time when her skills are not enough.
The next seasons will provide many answers. One thing is certain, however: it will take more than a Titan for Eren to make a decision about his feelings towards Mikasa. To answer the question “Will they get together?” one must first ask, “Which one is Eren more concerned about?” His vengeance or Mikasa?
Does Eren Love Mikasa?
We know that Eren has promised Mikasa his love and support for as long as she requires. This isn’t a guarantee that he loves her. We’ve seen Eren go to great lengths for his friends time and again. This promise is nothing different to what Eren promised Armin. This is just another attempt by him to prove himself.
If the writers had planned to create a romantic relationship between them, it is likely that they took their time in developing the idea. They have strayed from the conventional narrative structure in that sense. The answer to this question would be yes, it is very likely that Eren has fallen in love with Mikasa. However, that was confirmed at the end of mangas.
Does Eren kiss Mikasa?
A set-up is the beginning and end of any narrative. The set-up is used to establish the story’s context and foreshadow the outcome. While the pay-off is the summation of all events in the story, it serves as the end result. The set-up is a key factor in the quality of the payoff, and vice versa. The timing of the pay-off is crucial in determining its impact on the audience. Too early can leave the audience confused and too late will make them uninterested.
