However, they were able to outsmart him and freed themselves just in time for the final showdown. The Legend of Vox Machina Season 1 started with a dragon-slaying mission. Vox Machina, still struggling to find their feet as a group, defied all odds to bring down General Warn, also known as the Dragon Brimscythe. The Briarwood saga and the reclaiming of Percy’s realm of Whitestone by these vampiric lovers (and their not-so-good looking servants) is the focus of The Legend of the Vox Machina season 1. The season 1 finale of The Legend of Vox Machina sees Lady Briarwood almost defeated. However, the shadow over Whitestone grows stronger.

The Legend of Vox Machina‘s “The Darkness Within”, which takes place over 25 minutes, addresses Percy’s growing bloodlust, teases his future, and introduces new villains, the Chroma Conclave. This is the conclusion to Season 1.

Vox Machina Season 2: Grog’s new weapon is bad news for Vox Machina

The Legend of Vox Machinaseason 1 has seen Sylas Briarwood wield Craven Edge, a dark-bladed sword which feeds on the blood of its victims, becoming stronger with every slice. Grog is unable to refuse the chance to take the legendary weapon from his undead enemy, so Craven Edge is added to the Vox Machina collection. Is handling Craven Edge, a sword that has its own powerful bloodlust – a smart idea considering Grog’s tendency to kill anyone who is slightly off-limits? There’s a moment of foreboding as Grog sees his reflection in the dark metal blade. Scanlan intervenes before anything sinister occurs, but it’s clear that Grog’s possession of Craven Edge could be making him “the new Percy” Legend of Vox Machina season 2.

Is Percy free from his inner demon (and how)?

The finale of Legend of Vox Machina begins with Sylas dead, and Delilah on her way to following him. Percy is the season’s greatest villain. His inner demon (Orthax), makes a bid for complete control. Orthax describes Percy’s desire for revenge and how he made a secret deal with the young de Rolo boy to get the means to kill. In exchange for Percy’s souls, Orthax will give Percy a copy Gun Making For Dummies. Orthax becomes more prominent as the payment is due. Percy even locks its host in a mental prison, where the images from the de Rolo massacre keep him under control.

Percy’s fate is determined by whether he indulges in vengeful fantasies, and gives his soul to Orthax or defies the dark passenger and spares Lady Delilah. Percy decides to shoot his own hand and chooses the shock injury that will end his connection with the demon. Percy believes that this will be enough to end Orthax’s influence, but Scanlan disagrees. He throws the Pepperbox into an acid pool, which destroys the last hold the demon had over Percy. Percy is now free from Orthax’s control thanks to Scanlan’s quick thinking/lucky guesswork. The demon is still in control. The evil spirit can make new deals with anyone who will listen to its dark mechanical plans.

What is The Whispered One’s Spinning Orb of Death?

Percy is right. Lady Briarwood is also in league with a dark force that exists beyond Exandria. Contrary to Percy she is fully aware of the deal she made. In exchange for her husband’s resurrecting, Delilah promised to bring forth the Whispered One, from wherever he currently resides. The ritual should have been performed at the solstice. However, Vox Machina’s heroics forced Delilah into action before schedule. Scanlan describes the Whispered One as a ” spinning death” that negates magic within a certain radius and obliterates everything it touches. It also mystifies all who see it.

Although it is not recommended to get close, the orb simply sits there happily absorbing magical energy and is unlikely to become a weapon or enemy. The Spinning Orb of Death was created after the Whispered One appeared. We know that this mythical spirit told Sylas and Delilah to seize Whitestone for the Ziggurat and the magical-amplifying stones known as residuum around it. If Delilah had completed her ritual at the right time, the Ziggurat might have returned the Whispered One immediately.

Legend Of Vox Machina Season 2: Ripley and The Whispered one Could Return

The Legend of Vox Machina isn’t afraid to arrange Anna Ripley’s return for season 2. Despite the fact that she tortured Percy, Cassandra and others on behalf of the Briarwoods, Ripley formed an uneasy alliance in season 1’s reclamation Whitestone. Vex notes that she disappears during the final battle and, as expected, Vex is concerned about her safety. Vex’s worries confirm that Anna Ripley will be returning for The Legend of Vox Machina season 2. We know some of her future motivations. Ripley is a bit of a chaotic neutral, a scientist and engineer who seeks out knowledge without any moral limitations. Ripley may not be as fond of the Whispered One as the Briarwoods, but she could cause Vox Machina problems.

Why Keyleth doesn’t tell Vax she loves him

Yes, Season 1’s finale features sword fights, summonings, and sets, but there is also personal growth – like when Percy moves from Whitestone to Cassandra and Vex learning to accept Keyleth. Or when Scanlan sees a topless, muscular man working up a sweat. The simmering love story between Vax, Keyleth is even more significant. This was after the half-elven warrior had declared his love to Keyleth during a zombie battle several episodes before. Vax reaffirms his feelings in Legend of Vox Machina’s final episode, but Keyleth responds, “I just cannot… I’m sorry.” Vax’s ego is dealt a severe blow.

Keyleth clearly has feelings for Vax. Both Keyleth and Vax have made goggle-eyes at one another through Legend of Vox Machina Season 1. So why wouldn’t the Ashari Druid drop an L bomb of her own? Keyleth has struggled to self-confidence since The Legend of Vox Machina started. She was also burdened with the expectations of her tribe. Keyleth is more confident with each episode but remains determined to complete the Aramente and become worthy of the Air Ashari. Keyleth has always thought only about her father and her people. She may not have considered what she might desire… even though she might be a knife-throwing halfelf who loves and flirts with local shopkeepers.

Vox Machina’s Characters “Level Up” in Season 1’s Finale

It’s vital to learn new moves and get stronger by leveling up in role-playing. It’s amazing how The Legend of Vox Machina does this in the context of a TV series. Each character will have progressed in either their personal arc or their combat prowess by the end of Legend of Vox Machina ‘s season 1 final.

Vex and Vax don’t get any power-ups but they both decide to stop running. Their commitment to Vox Machina is now firm after almost abandoning the dysfunctional group earlier this season. Keyleth might not possess the power to love, but she does have the ability of elemental magic. Through her communion with the Sun Tree, Keyleth has been able to unlock never-before-seen spells such as a bright, evil-repelling, light and portals within tree trunks. Scanlan remains the same old bawdy barber, but his powers seem to increase after he discovered that heavy metal can increase the power of his Scanlan’s Hand spell.

Legend Of Vox Machina’s Season 1 finale introduces the Chroma Conclave

Vox Machina is celebrating its latest victory in Emon when four huge dragons descend upon Sovereign Uriel’s realm through the night sky. The Chroma Conclave is the next major villains following Critical Role’s Briarwood story and friends of Brimscythe whom Vox Machina defeated earlier in the season. David Tennant’s blue dragon wasn’t the strongest member of a larger faction. A strange eyeball spotted Vox Machina when they invaded Brimscythe’s lair in episode 3. The eyeball alerted four other dragons in the Chroma Conclave and they are now attempting to seize Emon (since dragons don’t tend to be motivated by revenge, loyalty or revenge for their own species after Brimscythe’s passing).

The shocking finale of Season 1’s The Legend of Vox Machina suggests that, despite having Orthax and Anna Ripley to worry about, season 2’s main antagonists will be the Chroma Conclave. We have seen the struggles of Vox Machina to defeat one dragon… how about four?
