Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2, Episode 12 Recap

Tadano, while sitting in his study, suddenly remembers Valentine’s Day. Komi had come to his house to gift him chocolates. He isn’t sure if he should interpret the event romantically. He suddenly remembers that it’s been over a month and that he has yet to give Komi a gift. The White Day is approaching and he must find something to show his gratitude.

He fondly remembers Komi, but Tadano’s brother’s sister, Tadano, enters the room suspicious. He spends a lot of time thinking about what he should gift others on White Day. Hitomi discovers that her brother was seeing someone with long hair on Valentine’s Day. Hitomi believes that her brother got more chocolates than she realizes, even though she saw only a shadow.

Although she doesn’t confirm with Tadano if he had met a girl or boy, she asks him about his feelings and whether he likes that person. Hitomi’s brother recalls how he spent time with Komi and it becomes clearer that he likes Komi. Hitomi says she is a sweets expert and will help him to find the perfect sweets. This will make Hitomi look great on social media. She also believes that any gift will work as long as the person is interested in her.

Tadano must work hard the next day at school to finally approach Komi. Katai, however, is there right beside her. He does ask the protagonist for dinner, but it ends up looking like he was speaking to Katai. He ended up going out with his guys friends and didn’t give Komi the gift she wanted.

Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2, Episode 12: What is White Day, You Ask? Is Komi finally getting a return gift from Tadano?

White Day is an annual tradition that occurs exactly one month after Valentine’s Day, March 14. It was first celebrated in Japan in 1936. However, it didn’t gain much popularity in its initial years. The annual affair, which is now celebrated in many Asian countries, became very popular in the 1970s. People often receive reciprocal gifts on Valentine’s Day. In the beginning, white chocolate was a popular choice for Valentine’s Day gifts. However, over time, people began to buy jewelry and white clothing as well as sentimental gifts for loved ones.

Tadano was unable to ask Komi out to dinner on White Day, and he did not give her the gift as a return gift. However, he refused to give up. He summoned all his courage to visit her home. He was met by his mother who informed him that Komi had not been home, but had gone to work.

Tadano wanted Tadano to be alive immediately, but Komi’s mother insisted that Komi wait for her. Komi’s father suddenly appears in her room and sits in his room alone. He stares at Tadano in silence, making him uncomfortable. Komi arrived quickly and forced her father out of the room.

She realized her room was messy when she saw it and quickly cleaned it up. Tadano presented the gift he bought to her as soon as she sat down. Both of them were too shy for any kind of conversation so Tadano left. Komi found the hand cream in her present and opened it as soon as she was home alone. Komi applied the cream immediately and briefly thought about Tadano.

What is Eraser War? Who wins the game?

Eraser war, a game for children in which three or more people compete against each other, is called a “Eraser War”. You only need an eraser and a table to play. The winner is the participant whose eraser remains on the desk until the end. However, one can be eliminated from the game if they accidentally push their eraser off the desk or knock their eraser out.

Najimi and Komi are up against each other in the first round. The title protagonist takes the first shot. However, she pushes her eraser too slow and it barely moves just a few centimeters. Her challengers don’t intend to be gentle. Najimi first tries to get rid of her rivals by pushing too hard on the eraser, but it fails badly as her eraser is thrown out of the desk.

Tadano, Yadano, and others don’t learn from their mistakes and are disqualified in the same manner. Soon, the entire class is involved and Komi becomes, after several rounds of play, the first to remove an eraser from someone’s desk.

Are Komi and Tadano destined to be together?

All students leave Eraser War after it is over. When it suddenly rains, Tadano (and Komi) talk to one another after Najimi and other students leave. The two friends, who are looking out at the class through a window, recall the year they spent together. Komi is sad that they might be moving to different classes. Komi is grateful for the friendships she made.

Tadano compliments Komi on what he has accomplished and is ready to say something romantic. But he can’t find any words to express his feelings. Najimi suddenly enters the classroom and interrupts the pair as they stare at each other. Although Tadano and Komi don’t propose, it seems that they are becoming more aware of their feelings.
