Trapped was indeed shot in Iceland. The majority of the filming takes place in the Saudarkrokur region. It has been visited by the producers several times and used many times as a film location before. Trapped tells the story of two teenage boys who become lost in the Icelandic wilderness following a plane crash. As they try to survive in an unfamiliar and hostile environment, they must find their way back home. They also have to avoid wild wolves and other hostile locals.
