Torune Aburame is a Japanese journalist and author who has written extensively on the Japan-China relationship. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of the online magazine “Dialogue.” Born in Tokyo, Aburame studied political science at Kyoto University before moving to Beijing in 2002 to work as a correspondent for “Dialogue.” She returned to Japan in 2006 and now lives in Tokyo. Aburame’s latest book, “The China Syndrome: Japan, China, and The Future of Asia,” was published in October 2009. It tells the story of how the two countries have interacted since World War II and examines how they are changing each other’s societies, economies, and security. She is a member of the Japan Society of Political Science and International Relations.
Appearance
Torune is a slim young man who has shorter dark hair. He is dressed in black pants and a black jacket that has the red belt. But, he doesn’t wear a typical headband instead, he wears a face mask that has his metal headband’s plate. Konoha skullband on. He wears a sword that is tied to one shoulder.
Past
Torune was a part of Shino along with his father, and was an older sister to Shino. Because Torune was forbidden to touch anyone due to the presence of his nano-insects, he was able to not attend the ninja school and was none of his friends, aside from Shino. In addition, he advised Shino to join in with his friends and to have amusement at school.
When , one day Danzou arrived and asked for an Aburame member to be a member of the ANBU-Ne the first person he suggested was the young Shino. Shibi Aburame was not in favor of his son’s inclusion as a member of Danzou’s group however, there was no way to stop the matter until Torune agreed to join Danzou to ensure that Shino could avoid the fate of being a Ne member.

Storyline
Mission with no mask
Danzou Shimura decides to Torune as well as Fuu Yamanaka to accompany him to the Kage meeting due to the fact that They are the top members of their Ne unit. Since masks are not allowed during the meeting, they have to remove them prior to the task. Prior to leaving, Torune is also to command his men to keep an watch on Naruto Uzumaki. As they head to the rendezvous they are attacked by remnants of Hannya-ANBU in within the Forest Realm, on which they’ve carried out attacks, however Torune and Fuu don’t have to intervene since Danzou is determined to take out the attackers on their own.

Torune is responsible for Fuu’s body while he is away. After Fuu’s consciousness has returned into his body Tobi appears.
The two fight, in which Torune as well as Fuu battle Tobi with each other, and they have no chance of beating him. They are snatched in Tobi’s teleportation that causes them to disappear into a secluded location.
