The Orbital Children Season 1 Review

The story takes place in 2045 in outer space in a world where artificial intelligence, the internet and social networking sites are all commonplaces. A huge accident results in a group of children being left behind at a commercial space station that has just opened. They have no chance of survival from the adults. The only thing that they have left is a narrowband, which can barely survive, as well as low-level AI software and a drone controlled via the “Smart” device. They use AI in conjunction with these tools to survive, and reach the “true meaning”, of some of the most intelligent AIs ever created. Are they able to survive in such a crisis?

Part 1: Children born on the Moon, Tuya, and Konoha are receiving physical therapy at the Japanese space station Anshin in order to return home to Earth. They were caught in the collision between the space station an the comet and their bodies along with other children such as Taiyo, Mina and Hiroshi who are emigrating to space. They plan to escape the space station on their own, as they have been separated from their elders. However, the main problem is that internet and oxygen supply has been cut off.

They are sometimes at odds, but they can also help one another.

The Orbital Children Season 2 Story

Although the official story of season 2 has not yet been revealed, it is certain that it will continue the story of the orbital kids. You can see a brief recap of season 1, which shows that the first season was not complete. Because they were certain about season 2, the makers decided not to complete season 1. It was immediately viewed by the public. There are high chances that all of the characters will return, and that their stories will not be ending.

Production of the Orbital Children

Announcement of the film’s production was made on May 20, 2018. Production began on a full-scale basis on October 27, 2020. The film will be released in the early 2022 with investments from Avex Pictures, Asmik Ace and other investors. Signal.MD was initially assigned to animated the project, but it has been changed to production +h by Fuminori Honda (former production I.G. and Signal-MD producer). The film will have two parts. The first will air on January 28, 2022 and the second will air on February 11, 2022.
