Following the attack, in which Hinata suffered injuries while trying to defend Naruto, Himawari anxiously stood near her mother’s bedside keeping her hand close while she was treated with Sakura Uchiha. Then, she was devastated when she found out that Shukaku was moving to a new safehouse but she was happy to see Shukaku smiling as she said goodbye.
Time Slip Arc
In the show, when Boruto wanted to work with Sasuke once more, Hinata noted that Boruto was exactly the same as Naruto in that time period and was always looking forward to training with his teacher Jiraiya. Hinata then displayed Himawari and Boruto a picture of the Sannin that Himawari noticed was wild and eccentric. Hinata shared with her kids the story of Jiraiya’s amazing ninja abilities and the way he contributed to Naruto and even became the father figure.
Later, Himawari joined her family to celebrate her grandfather’s birthday. With Hinata’s help Himawari selected an appropriate scarf for the elderly man, hoping to ensure his long-term good health. In the end, as part Boruto’s birthday present, Himawari joined her family for a photo of the group.
Mujina Bandits Arc
In the show, Himawari was offered a one-day trial in the Ninja Academy. In the academy, she was able to meet Yuina Itomaki as well as Eho Norimaki to practice with her teammates. Later that day Hinata assisted her in disposing of the broken vase reassuring her that the effort she had put into it to be used by Hinata is what was most important to Hinata. While eating she made fun of her brother about the observance of their father being at in their home throughout the day.
Then, Naruto offered to do some sparring with Boruto. Boruto stated that he did it because his father requested however Himawari made fun of him for being overly excited. She watched the match with Kawaki and was intrigued by the shadow replicas. After Himawari explained the nature of their existence, Kawaki insisted that Boruto attempt to use his Kama to understand its power was the first step towards eliminating it. Being aware that Boruto could not activate it, Kawaki activated his own so that his would respond to it in a similar manner. Naruto was pleased with his son’s use of it and immediately showed a significant improvement in his performance. He was unaware of this, but Himawari’s words helped Kawaki in rethinking his decision to quit the village.
