However, the majority of Tankers live in the Tank, where they provide support to the backlines by butchering Gadoll meat, and strengthening defenses. Natsume, despite her prosthetic right hand, is determined to join the few Tanker soldiers who fight alongside the Gears.
However, despite Natsume and her siblings at the orphanage receiving their work assignments each, Natsume’s enlistment in the Power is still not approved. She takes a job as a cleaner for an armor repair team, which is led by the hard-nosed, apathetic Kaburagi. He seems to know more than he admits. Although initially cold towards his idealistic subordinates, he quickly recognizes the potential in her to disrupt the status quo. Kaburagi, Natsume’s mentor, prepares her to play the unique and special role of a game-changing bug within the system.
